No, it's just amusing reading the illogical insanity of some peoples posts. Watching grown men have a melt down just because someone doesn't rate a couple of boxers as highly as they do - it's funny and passes the time.

 

IMO Wlad is Top 10, Vitali Top 15. According to some boxing fans heavyweight division is extremely weak and mostly because all big american athletes are in NFL and NBA, but where are british heavyweights?

Because in Britain heavyweight boxing is the most unpopular division in what is now a fairly unpopular sport. Just go on the BBC sports website, boxing isn't even on the main page anymore. You have to click on the "more sports" option were you will find boxing, along side sports like bowls and canoeing.

The UK has never really produced many good, let alone great, heavyweights anyway. Just look at the amount of heavyweight champions we have had and the quality of these fighters. So unlike America who have a long history of heavyweight dominance, the lack of decent British heavyweights is not really anything new.

That's the US media propaganda party line excuse, but the NFL and NBA were around just the same when Americans ruled the heavyweight division, so what's the difference now? The difference is that now - only since the 1990's - Russians and eastern europeans are in the mix - and the results are all too obvious, ain't they? not at all. The NFL and NBA were around when americans ruled the division in the 1990's, but there were also genuine american superstars in heavyweight boxing, and the presence of genuine american superstars declined just as the NBA and NFl experienced all time tv ratings (which equates to all time popularity levels) and all time revnue, which translates to all time highs in player salary. If russians and eastern europeans have been in the mix since the 1990's, what happened from 1990 until around the time the klitschkos began dominating the division? oh yeah, their overshadowing by legitimate, in shape, american contenders and champions, not to mention the great lennox lewis. you call us dumb assed haters? then call the overwhelming majority of boxing pundits dumbassed haters as well. you guys are up against the wall in this arguement.

 

I don't think they are the best or the greatest , IMHO wlad is definitely Top 10 and Vitali top 15.
