Well, some rank fighters purely on their wins rather than taking away for losses. Even when you do factor losses Wlad's still trumps Vitali. Compare how many top 5/10 opponents each have beaten

Head to head, prime for prime Vitali wins but in terms of legacy Wlad has had a greater impact

 

Wlad is far superior. It's not even debatable.

 

resume wise he is, but resume by itself won't tell you how good a fighter is.

remember the whole Lacy hype before Calzaghe; everyone thought that he was going to steamroll Joe because he had a better resume, and Joe fought only old men and stiffs.

 

And them two fought to establish superiority.

If the only way people can hold vitali over wlad is by inventing a fantasy world where they somehow agree to fight and vitali somehow defeats wlad, then it's not really a worthy debate is it.

Wlad has beaten better opponents than vitali. Wlad is in the midst of a 6 year reign of domination. Vitali managed only 18 months at the top.

Wlad has shown flaws earlier in his career but right now he looks unbeatable.

Vitali has also lost twice himself, once to byrd and once to lewis.

People can speculate about vitali's odds of success against wlad post 05 resume but the fact is that it is just speculation; wlad actually has beaten these guys, unified the belts and ruled the division.

 

vitali of course is better. no doubt abouit it. even now he is better! wlad is not a real born fighter, as you can see in the haye fight!

I'm just saying that judging 2 fighters based only on their resume is not exactly the best way.

And even if Wlad may be the better of the bros, his resume doesn't make him "far superior", just more accomplished.

 

the version of wlad right now in better than vitali ever was. imo he is unbeatable right now, and that not only now but also ever, just lewis could catch him, but imo wlad would take a fair decision against lewis

Vitali is just a paper champ who made a career on getting saved by a doctor from either getting knocked out or pulling another quit job and being the brother of someone. just look at him always posing with Wlad and half of Wlads belts. ridiculous
Wlad on the other hand is quite good, has atg level one punch power, athleticism, speed, technique, footwork, heart, defense. He could easily turn out to be one of the very best if not the best ever if he could fight proper competition. Vitali that slapping, armpunching robot and quitter joke still being around however is definitively the evidence of this being a pretty weak era

 

Wladimir easily has the superior resume, and he's got alot more fights left in him.

Vitali seems to be the much better H2H fighter due to his awkward style and granite chin

He is far superior, that being he is far enough ahead that it isn't really debatable.

Noone who follows boxing seriously questions who the better brother is.

There are some musings such as "who would win if" but I think every sane person ranks wlad number 1.
