But there will always be the arguments that:
    - He ducked Pac to take on a faded Cotto in 2012
    - He beat a faded Pac when he ducked him for the past few years.
    - He ducked Khan at 147 to fight the easier Alvarez fight
    - He fought a green Alvarez when he should have took on the heavy hitting James Kirkland
    - He beat an over-rated Martinez when everyone knows he should have took on Pirog

and so on and so forth...

I think Mayweather will get more appreciation from the next few generations of fight fans..Like how alot of us are over the old legends....A legends story grows in time...

Martinez is a joke for Floyd. It'll look good on his resume, but w/o prime Pac, and Pac alone, Floyd is no better than Calzage resume wise.:deal

He would have to clear out the 154 weight class, taking on Cotto, Canelo and Chavez, then move up and take out Martinez and Ward. If he was to do that, although we would all love to see him fight Pac, he wouldn't need him to be an all time great. He would clearly surpass him by climbing in weight and maintaining that perfect record of his. He would probably be the first fighter in history to climb all those weight classes, win all those titles and retire undefeated. If he wouldn't be considered the GOAT, he would definitely be in the top five ATG.

Floyd said that he's the GREATEST already! But he said that what Pacquiao is doing is equivalent to as if he was knocking out heavyweight. So Floyd would have to knock out Monte Barrett in order to be the GOAT.

He'd need to become the lineal undisputed champion in 4 different divisions to even begin to compare him to SRR

he'd also need at least 16 HOF'ers in his resume

so yeah, Time Machine is the only way

IMO there's nothing he could do short of something like the list above. If he had torn a new arsehole through the welter and junior welter when it was strong, he would really be up there.

He should have fought Cotto before Margo got to him.
He should have fought Margo before SSM got to him.
He should have fought Kostya Tszyu around the time KT beat Zab.
He should have fought SSM a long time ago.
    etc

I think the Dela Hoya fight shows how good he really is. He only just won a very close decision where if he was the GOAT he would have f--ked that **** up.

PBF just simply isn't the GOAT. i don't care how good your illogical argument sounds, PBF would take an ass pounding from SSR and the more times they fought the worse that pounding would become.

Your argument is illogical because you are immediately making the assumption that anyone arguing for a fighter from an earlier period being the GOAT is incorrect. It is called poisoning the well.

IF, Floyd was to beat Pac, the move p and beat Lara, Molina, Kirkland, and Canelo, then move up again to 160 and beat Martinez and Pirog, then move up again to beat Ward, Bute, and Dirrel, then move up one last time to beat at 175 either Dawson or Pascal withing 3 years, that 10 fights in 3 years, and winning all 10 fights convincingly, then I would call him the greatest of all Time since 1980, Top 10 for sure.
