Well, here it goes...people fooling themselves into thinking Cotto has a chance in Hell. Cotto doesn't have the skill to out-box Mayweather, and I'm not sure he has the heart to duke it out with the aggressive side of Floyd, which is what I think we'll see that night. Cotto doesn't win a single round, and gets battered en route to a 10th round stoppage.

So what your saying is pac lost to an even more shot JMM than then one that flloyd totally dominated. So surely pac's opponent since the whole may-pac started is worse?

De La Hoya at 154lbs was a formidable opponent. No doubt about it, Oscar at that weight was a hell of a win.

    ELITE- Floyd

Good Fighter- Cotto....Cotto has never been ELITE....at his best around the Mosley fight you could bump him up to Very Good Fighter....at no point does he beat ANY version of Floyd. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out how to beat Margo if you have the tools to do so which ELITE fighters do....i dont care if Margo had summin in his gloves or not....Cotto IF ELITE should never lose to Margo.

    Castillo
    De La Hoya
    Corrales

Based on how they wre around the time Floyd faced them.

If it was a prime Cotto, id have him only behind Castillo IMO.

Margarito at his best is trouble for just about anybody, especially at ww with his size and work rate. Your definition of ELITE also reeks of someone who's never been in the ring before. Only a few fighters in each generation make it as far in boxing as Miguel has gone. To be significant in the sport after 10 years is another feat in itself. He is not ELITE in the P4P sense, but he's definitely in the higher echelon.

Mosely was considered the next best welterweight at the time and was coming off a brutally dominant win over Margarito.
