Oh my, so all that Dempsey could do is throw that "left hook', and all that Henry Armstrong could do was overwhelm you with his one dimensional
attack ??? Have you truly seen the prime Dempsey ? Aside from the Willard film [ NOT in real time as it was HAND CRANKED},and Dempsey's
destruction of Firpo, who was crude but along the lines of a Rocky Graziano, there is no film of Dempsey's 25 first round kos. No film of his kos of Fred Fulton, nor Gunboat Smith, nor Carl Morris etc. Yes Tunney beat a Dempsey ,out of the ring for THREE years, with no tune-up fights, without his mentor Jack Kearns who was SUING Dempsey, and at 32 years old ,rusty and a SLOW shell of himself...So what ? Do you hold Ali's losses to Berbick, and Holmes against Ali's prime legacy ? Hell no...
Jack Dempsey was a handful to any fighter who ever lived...Just ask Sam Langford, Mickey Walker, Gene Tunney, Jack Sharkey, Max Schmeling, Ray Arcel, all who saw the real Dempsey's unique qualities of speed, power,
viciousness, and toughness never combined together in a heavyweight before or since...Have a good day...

Too many keyboard warriors on here have no idea what they're talking about. They don't realise how much hunger and heart someone has takes them a lot further, as demonstrated by Holyfield.

Like I said before the most important aspect of boxing is footwork. Everything starts with it and Dempsey's was as good as anyones. The way he moves forward so fast while throwing huge bombs, keeping his punches in time with each step is absolutely phenominal for a big man. Who else in history could do this like Dempsey at heavy?

Dont agree with any of the list.
Ali beats every single one of the guys on there and belongs no where under Number 1.

Asides from Ali, Tyson knocks the rest out. :bbb

Exactly mate he had Tony Hawk like balance. Not many middleweights could do that.

In 02 or 03 yes he could have if he fought the absolute perfect fight, which he was capable of.
