Few points oscar was below welter well before the fight his fault was that he didnt rehydrate. He cherrypicked pac to avoid the cotto vs marg winner, but it backfired. Mosley showed up at wild card and offered 143, they picked cotto cause he pays more and was with tr. I have only 2 objections about pacs later resume and that is fighting mosley in a cherrypicked fight, and the marg fight being for a 8th title.
It's funny to read **** like this. Hatton was a good win, but....Cotto was a good win, but.... STFU with your hating ass. Those guys were supposed to break Pac's ribs with one clean shot, instead they got destroyed. Enough with the revisionist bull****, take a great win for what it is. The Mosley fight was a disgrace IMO, but that was the same Mosley Mayweather fought, and that was Mayweather's best win Yes I thought Pac lost to Marquez, but Marquez is his anti-matter.
atsch First of all, that's NO WHERE to be found in boxing rules. Why do you think weight classes cover a SPAN, and not ONLY the limit? "Sorry son, you came in at 153, you either go gain a pound or cannot fight for the title..." - Does that make a lick of sense? Second, it was just that, a title. Not the JrMw WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (there's a difference you know). And a title that very few give a **** about anyway. Much like SRL's SprMW and LtHW belts. You think people gushes over Floyd's 140 belt? Or DLH's MW belt? No one talks about them because their insignificant to their CAREERS, and that is what Pac will be judges on. Apprciate the time and effort you put into this, but it's highly flawed.
Limit, Lance; Limit. I'm not saying Pacquaio or Margarito had to both weigh in bang on 154lbs, but I'm saying that both should of had the option. They fought for a Junior Middleweight title, so I fail to see why they are exempt from having a 154lb limit? As I stated, I had no problem with Pacquaio fighting Margarito at 150lbs, but the fact that it was for a title, and that he is considered a Champion in eight different weight classes is ridiculous.
I didn't read all of that. I will say that Manny hasn't impressed me in a while. Hopefully he will against Bradley.
Hope you're joking. Pacquiao has been fighting the biggest/best names available since his fight with DLH.
Under 140 one of the best fighters second only to Marquez. Over 140 one of the best if not the best...marketing tools the sport has seen.
I give Pac credit for the Hatton & Cotto fights. Also Antonio Margarito who he fought @ 150 who was 17 pounds heavier than Pac.
At one point, I remember you saying that Margarito win was one of his best, especially in technical terms.
People put this joker up on this high ass platform because he beat Oscar De La Hoya??? By DLH's own admission during Mayweather-Ortiz 24/7 said he was "done" when he fought Floyd. Guess what??? He fought Manny Pacquiao 1 year later so he was 1 year past "done" when the bell rung. Shane Mosley is another one. In the 8th round of his fight with Floyd Mayweather, Emanuel Steward said Shane was looking his age. Manny Pacquiao fights him 1 year later. The guy is an overrated hypejob who's world has been crashing down on him as of late. After he looks like an average fighter against Tim Bradley, people are going to wonder how they could have been so stupid to think this guy Pacquiao was the best fighter in the world. Mosley showed what happens when Manny's face with a fighter who isn't going to stand there and let Manny T-Off on them. Marquez showed what happens when the overhyped improvements get tested. He showed that a good boxer with a high boxing IQ, and good counter skills can do to a semi 1 dimensional fighter. Bradley will expose the whole hoax and people will know that Pac's meteoric rise to the top was nothing more than a cleverly constructed path littered with tailor made fighters. They will know that if Pacquiao would've been fighting dudes with all around boxing skills, he would've never been as highly regarded as he was. He's a joke and Tim Bradley will have his moments in that fight. He may be able to pull it off. Even if he loses, he'll still expose Pacquiao further.
ODLH looked like a skeleton in the fight, not Pac's fault. But takes away from the win. -- Decent win Hatton was a good win although his punch resistance was clearly not the same, making his style less effective. -- Good win Cotto was a good win although they felt the need to catch-weight him for his title. -- Good win Clottey was a decent win. He arguably beat Cotto in their fight. He himself said his strategy going in the fight would be block Pac's 30 punches and return 4, but again not Pac's fault. -- Decent win. Margarito was a well known taylor made fight for Pac at a catch-weight for a title neither were top 10 ranked at, after Margarito shows **** all after his handwrap scandal. -- Shitty win. Mosley was said to be old and shot after his Mayweather fight, and the Mora fight pretty much confirmed our suspicions. Wouldn't fight him earlier when he begged for a fight, unless a catch-weight. -- Shitty win. JMM was a good fight, although they clearly waited for him to get old for the rematch. Best fight since Cotto IMO. -- Good win.
Yessir emmanuel with his skills was unable to prevent the margo(e) fight from being a contest of wills. margo(e) forced him to pull out his entire arsenal and show us all he's capable of. credit wise I don't rank it
