I know..people act like it's some kind of victory for Mayweather/Pacquiao if they beat a better opponent than the other guy does.

Their fans have more desire in them showing their superiority over one another than the fighters actually do.

Ortiz and Bradley are decent opponents.

yep Ortiz had a much better win and it was only his 1st showing at welter
    bradley was on his 2nd

exactly, AT LEAST we knew that Ortiz could actually fight effectively with power and speed at welter. and became a champ beating an undefeated fighter.

Bradley's undefeated with clear wins over Peterson, Alexander, Witter, Holt, Abregu, and Campbell.

Ortiz had wins over Berto and Campbell, a TKO loss to Maidana, and a draw with Peterson.

The point: Ortiz is a solid contender, nothing more. Bradley, on the other hand, is a genuine, top level, P4P elite kind of fighter.

Welterweight resume (not counting fights early on in career):

    Ortiz
    UD12 27-0 Berto

    Bradley
    UD12 29-0 Abregu

    ---

Yeah, Maidana had beat down Ortiz... despite getting KD'd 3 times... 2+ years prior to facing Mayweather... against a perennial top 10 junior welter.

Bradley vs. Casamayor was at junior welter, dude, not even welter.

His only tune-up fight at welter was Abregu.

That was a good win.. Maybe on par with Bradley over Alexander except Tim was dominant.Add Witter, Holt, Peterson, and what should have been Campbell..

Ortiz is a good fighter, and he was a decent opponent. But he has never been on Bradleys level.

Too bad Bradley's resume means close to nothing at welterweight.

He has beaten Abregu. Nowhere close to the caliber of win Ortiz scored over Berto.

maybe not resume wise. but a much more dangerous opponent @ welter than Bradley IMO

So are you saying throw out their entire career and lets just pick one fight we like...
I sure hope you use this same logic when figuring in Floyds victory over Hatton at 147

Id say no. maybe a bigger chance of landing a lucky punch, but not in the sense of making a competitive fight. Bradley is simply proven to be a better fighter who had beaten and dominated better opponents..
