The laws in place in 1925 about boxing film would not apply to the training footage.
Hence it survives but the actual match doz not.

S, What is truly strange is that hundreds of boxers of that period are on film that has survived til today, and not ONE fight of Harry Greb [300 bouts], Jack Britton [344 bouts] and Maxie Rosenbloom, [299 fights],and not ONE film survives today, while dozens of lesser opponents are still
seen on the nitrate films...EEry I say...

I don't really follow Greb, but I was looking at some old newspapers and came across articles and got interested. Are they any photographs of him in the ring, fighting? I found one of him in a newspaper in the ring during referee instructions, but that's it.

There's a grainy photo I've seen of him against Johnny Wilson and I reckon there may have been another one against Tunney. I think I saw it on the HarryGreb website.

But they were poor quality ie so poor you couldn't tell who was who without captions and absolutely nothing could be ascertained by them.

The truth has finally come out...It has been established that 66 Harry Greb bouts were filmed during his career, but because of his blinding speed, the camera doesn't capture him on film. But if you observe, you can see Harry Greb in a form of a blurr...:patsch
