Jorge Paez rocked Pea and gave him a good fight, many people think Buddy McGirt (when he had two good arms) should have gotten the decision against him. I don't consider this a walk for either fighter, KT is better than Buddy and MUCH better than Paez, an absolutely vicious puncher with fantastic skills. Should have turned pro years earlier instead of wasting himself on a 300 fight amateur career, he would have gotten more big fights. He's arguably the greatest 140 lb fighter EVER in his best days. If you don't know, then shut the **** up.

Whitaker's turned into this mythical monster, like Duran - you're supposed to pretend that he could never be beaten, and that's exactly what the less informed do so they can seem more informed than they really are. He was far from invincible.

LOL, when did he rock Pea? Whitaker won that fight without even getting into second gear, let alone out of second gear.

Many New Yorkers with an alien-head fetish.

That's arguable, and secondly, styles wise, Buddy is much better against Pea than Kostya would be. Kostya wouldn't outbox Whitaker in a month of Sundays and his only chance is KO'ing him, something an ever bigger hitter couldn't do to a crackheaded version of Whitaker.

Tszyu was a really good fighter but IMO his stamina was always suspect against high volume guys and if you had the chin to take his shots you could really give him trouble (Phillips, Hatton, Lopez, Urkal, Pineda to a lesser extent).

I give Tszyu a lot of credit and think he would do well against a lot of greats, but his chances of getting the W against Whitaker are really, really small.

When he wanted to be, Whitaker was near invincible.

When he wasn't motivated, didn't train, etc. sure he was beatable. Ditto Duran.

But in mythical match ups, we take fighters at their best.

KT is my favorite fighter, but he has a slim puncher's chance against Sweet Pea. Pea's chin was rock solid. Unless there was a fix, pea would win a UD.

some ppl on here overrate tszyu beyond belief.... i think ppl get too carried away with the "tszyu does well against southpaws..." thing but when has be ever faced a southpaw as good as whitaker?!?... so to counter that, I'd say but whitaker has fought AND beat someone who i think is better than tszyu (jcc).... people just get too hysterical about that zab KO that it blinds them.

Yeah they looked at styles on this one.

Did you know another alarming statistic for the Whitaker fans.

    Tszyu's record against SOUTHPAWS.
    8-0 8 KO's

Why is and im just curious is that everytime a Fantasy Matchup is done if the fighter is a International Hall of Famer matched up against any half decent American they Lose.

Lennox Lewis loses most his fantasy MU
    same with
    Joe Calzaghe
    Kostya Tszyu
    Manny Pacquiao
    Wlad Klitschko

Im getting sick to ****ing death of defending these guys.

**** Id love to see ****ing Pernell Whitaker or Floyd Mayweather travel to England or Germany for 10 or more Title fights or defenses.

Wouldnt ****ing happen and they might lose.

    Another idiot.

I suppose Joe Calzaghe is Overrated.

But im sure Aaron Pryor has a awesome resume and in fact im sure you would tell me his resume shits all over Tszyu's.
