For those that paid for UFC 143, Did you get your moneys worth?!?

No way would I pay to watch 143.I pick and choose now and have for the past 2 years.This WWE type of PPV hustle is getting old.

 

£10 a month for all UFC events is a pretty good deal if you ask me. So yeh, I reckon us Brits always get out money's worth haha

No. I was disappointed that the UFC didn't meet ahead of time and change the rules so that Condit wasn't allowed to kick, and was forced to brawl with Diaz without attempting to escape his punches. Also, they need to put a rule in place that when a Diaz brother mugs and dares you to hit him, you have to comply. Otherwise points are taken away.

Hopefully they'll get these rules changes in place before there is a rematch, because it's clearly obvious that fighters should not be allowed to try and beat Diaz.

 

How was the UFC supposed to know ahead of time that it would be a "**** card", as you call it?
It's perfectly easy in hindsight to say the card wasn't worth it. There's been quite a few PPV cards that have sucked, and some free ones that were great.

And there's definitely been PPV cards that a lot of people said beforehand weren't worth buying, and they turned out to be well worth the money.

If you had said before this fight that it was not a PPV worthy card you would have been laughed off this forum. Saying it after the fact means nothing.

 

Yep...people don't realise how ****ed USA really is and how much piracy help to keep social peace.

For the past 30 years the salary of most people didn't go up...while the inflation still rising. And at the same time the rich get richer.

Same trend in Canada right now....and all the west elected ****in Stephen Harper...again...****in moron..I'm so pissed....but I'm not in the lounge so I'll stop here...

But its economics - you charge what the market will bear. Its the same as I say when people complain about the quality of the UK cards. If the event sells out you can't complain that the UFC should be bringing better cards to the UK.

Also all the studies I've seen shows that most people aren't pay $60 for a pay per view but a bunch of people are paying towards the cost of one. That's how it becomes financially viable for people to order the shows. Obviously that isn't possible to the extent overseas where the sport is less popular and the events are on at weird times of the day.

 

Works out well here, the live main events start at 4pm on Sunday afternoon, which if anything is far more convenient than showing them on a Saturday night.

Which is probably why Australia is the first overseas market to move to pay per view.
