Taxi !!!!!!!!!!! If boxnation manage to stay intact and afloat it should make for quality TV alongside Sky. Somehow I don't see it happening.
Kirkland/Molina's on the Morales/Garcia undercard so that'll deffo be shown. Ortiz/Berto hasn't being officially rescheduled yet (probably June 30th) but when it is you'd expect them to show it.
BoxNation isn't good for British boxing. It's good for a small group of fans and Frank. If it was free it'd be good for boxing because it'd allow casual fans to see good level boxing from places like Germany that they wouldn't otherwise see. As it's a subscription channel, the only people it benefits are hardcore boxing fans who would probably watch the fight anyway. It just makes it easier for them. But yeah, this idea that BoxNation is good for British boxing is wrong. If it was free, yes, but the cost limits its exposure too much. That said, I want to see the channel do well. I hope it can progress.
From Ringside, the full list: Devon Alexander v Marcos Maidana Adrien Broner v Eloy Perez Feb 26th Live 3am Sky Sports HD1 Erik Morales v Danny Garcia March 25 Live 2am Sky Sports HD1 Sergio Martinez v Matthew Macklin Kell Brook v Matthew Hatton Also featuring Grzegorz Proksa (EBU Middleweight Title) Also featuring Carl Frampton March 17 Live Sky Sports HD (exact channel TBA) Wladimir Klitschko v Jean Marc Mormeck March 3 Live 8pm Sky Sports HD1 Also it was strongly implied Victor Ortiz v Andre Berto will be on Sky Sports in the summer.
Unlucky BN. I want all the big fights and big cards on Sky. BN would only butcher them. I'll pay £10 for BN if they keep giving a domestic card a week and international fights we woudln't get otherwise i.e. Top Rank, Saureland etc
What Channel do you think this bill will be on? Feb. 18 At Corpus Christi, Texas (Showtime): Paul Williams vs. Nobuhiro Ishida, 12 rounds, junior middleweights; Tavoris Cloud vs. Gabriel Campillo, 12 rounds, for Cloud's IBF light heavyweight title; Cristobal Arreola vs. TBA, 10 rounds, heavyweights
Boxnation as a concept can only ever attract a small loyal fanbase because Boxing has become a niche sport but the emergence of it has made Sky get its act together which has now brought more Boxing to more people.
Don't see Sky showing it. BN might but it sounds like the whole presenting crew will be in Germany for Chisora so I have my doubts they'll get it. Having said that, this Sky deal makes it look very hard for them to get 2 cards a week so not sure they can just pass up on a show like this
