Tyson was at the very end of his career, he was 15 years detatched from his prime and had no interest in boxing other than to make a few dollars because he was broke. Vitali was WBO champion, undefeated and just coming into his physical prime. Vitali was still using that arm and shoulder in the round before, if he could have held out to win, he would have. Fact is, Byrd was walking him down, and beating him up, instead of taking the beating to see out the fight on the scorecards, Vitali quit. Prime Tyson between 86-91 never quit, see the beating he took from Douglas? He kept coming until the end, what a warrior.

Foreman had a 10 year layoff, and was fighting when he was 45+ years old, well past his physical prime. He did brilliantly given the circumstances. Michael Moorer was a very good fighter, and would beat any Heavyweight today outside of the brothers no problem (Haye is retired before anyone brings that up). So for Foreman to KO prime Moorer, when George was 45 is legendary stuff. Wlad on the other hand took 12 rounds to put away Eddie Chambers... Vitali took 10 to put away Adamek...

Foreman was not the most feared Heavyweight Champion then, because the strength the division was so much stronger! There were many great fighters! Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe and the best being Lennox Lewis! There were other good fighters around as well. The talent pool of the division was so much deeper. Would the brothers beat a prime Holyfield? We know Vitali got mauled by a shot Lennox, so there's no debate there, prime Lennox would destroy the brothers one after the other. Prime Bowe would be more than they could handle. If the Klitschko brothers were around in this era, they would be challengers, at the best briefly be belt-holders. Vitali would certainly not be particularly feared at all in this era.

If comeback Foreman was in todays era, he would be the most feared, could you imagine how scared Wlad would be of big George's power? Even at 45 years old. The like of Adamek, Solis, Chambers, Sosnowski and the other no-hopers the Klitschko's have been feasting on, would be destroyed by big George.

Comeback Foreman is far better than any opponent Vitali has ever beat. After Lennox, comeback George would give Vitali the toughest fight of his life, and may be able to pull it off. Wlad would never step in the ring with a guy who can punch like George, and comes to fight like George.

  2. Foreman took a right hand on the chin and was up at the count of 8 in 120 degree Africa against the best fighter ever. Foreman started boxing when he was a teen. I like Vitali I really do but he cant be rated in the same class as guys like Foreman and Ali and even Holyfield.

Foreman didn't start boxing till he was almost 19. And he was legitimately sopped by Ali. Quitting is what Vitaly did against Byrd. Get your facts straight son.

My stalker Joseph Benedetti. When I saw you just posted in this thread, I knew it would be directed toward me even before I looked at it! I'm the most important person in your miserable world.

    Here is Joseph: http://www.facebook.com/?sk=welcome#!/photo.php?fbid=234373476607857&set=a.136205739757965.21442.100001056202872&type=3&theater

No, Foreman started boxing early in life. He had his first official amateur fight at the age of 16 in 1965, and actually won the Olympic gold medal at the age of 19 in 1968.

Vitali started boxing in his mid-20s.

Quitting is when you are NOT injured, but you're being outboxed and hit a lot, you're tired and you decide to stop fighting. What happened to Vitali against Byrd is called an INJURY, not quitting. He dislocated his rotator cuff.

Of course, people who hate Vitali will always bring up the Byrd fight, and try to use it to discredit and bash him.

Foreman didn't have his first amateur fight until 1967. You claimed he started fighting as a young child. And Foreman didn't quit, he was beaten. Vitaly gave up against a super middleweight in spite of being up on the cards. Sorry son but you can't rewrite history.

    That's what you're doing.

And Byrd never had a single pro fight as a super middleweight. He had 42 of his 47 fights at heavyweight, one at cruiserweight, and three (including his second-last where he looked terribly emaciated) at light heavyweight.

I have to go to sleep earlier tonight, because I have an earlier-than-usual work day tomorow. It's 9:15 PM here where I am on the West Coast.

It's after midnight where you are, but you'll keep coming back to get the last word until the sun comes up, because you don't work, now do you? Be honest for once. You LIVE for these flame wars, because you're an internet warrior. You know Joseph, if you had a job it might help you lose some weight and then you might be a happier person.

I saw the dome thread today you made bragging about getting the Klitschko fans banned from the other site. :-(

Now Joseph you'll come back and get the last word as always, you can never just let it go because you're MUCH too insecure and these little flame wars are a very important part of your life.

As usual you aren't addressing the points and would rather flame, insult and lie. And please provide a link to this so called thread I started. The fact is your whole crew of racist nuthuggers got yourselves banned. But I will take credit for running the rest off. You can't deal with the likes of me...a poster who keeps it real and provides cold, hard facts. And as far as having a job....you post 24/7, just check out your post history. Me? You can look at my account both here and and the other place to see you post AT LEAST 4X as much as I do. Lol, clown.

No, I just want to go to bed now. But when you come back with a vicious LIE, I feel I need to set the record straight. You can only hurt me in one way: waste my time. It's nearly 1 AM where you are. Obviously you don't have a job or you would be able to stay up all night stalking the Klitschko fans.

This is a perfect example of how dishonest you are: YOU KNOW I can't post a link to "the scene". And you know you made that thread in the dome.

I think the senior mods over there are wise to you now, and you won't be successful in getting anyone else banned. Your avatar of Vitali in a pink dress is letting them know for sure you have mental health issues.

So now you admit you DO go through my post history?

    You're a creepy internet stalker.

I'm not interested in looking at your account or going through your post history. I'm not a creepy internet stalker like you are.

You followed me over here. Now you'll follow me back there.

And I was telling the truth, you ALWAYS need to have the last word, even in the middle of the night. :rofl You're the epitome of an INTERNET WARRIOR.

Vitali is and always will be the better brother. He may lack the polish and resume of his brother, but he is simply the better fighter. End of.

    @lufc
Of course it's debatable otherwise we wouldn't be talking about it. Plus everytime i check Boxing Monthly have Vitali as the number 1.

The people who say vitali's better always amuse me. What is he actually better at?

As he beaten opposition as good as wlad? No.

As he ruled the division as long as wlad has? No.

Does he look as dominant or effective as wlad does on film? No.

The only advantage vitali has is in some made up fantasy world where he either beats wlad or beats everyone wlad has beat.

The fact is none of that happened and wlad is actually on another level career wise.

Vitali is the better fighter obviously. And if he didn't have that long layoff he'd have beat all of Wlad's opponents to date. He's had fewer fights, but that shouldn't effect is status H2H against his younger brother. None of Wlad's opponents would have given Vitali any kind of problems. Because let's face it, they were all chumps...
