No I see where you're coming from. Out of all the fighters in Allegedly's malnourished stable, he's in one of the worst positions.

Not that it isn't at least partly, or even largely of his own making, in terms of ruffling Allegedly's feathers etc, and the general dislike for him, but for me it's just natural to feel for a talented prospect who might be left in the cold, and have to do things the hard way from now on.

But on the flip side, he's made more money already that 99% of boxers will in their careers. And acted a bit like a chump in the process.

I think he'll take it. At least this fight looks likely that it'll actually happen and he must be pissed off at having 3 dates fall through

I feel for Degale. He,s our Olympic champion being forced to go to Italy where everyone knows getting a fair decision will be virtually impossible. It,s a shame but not a surprise that his or one of our UK promoters didn't win the purse bid. I hope he ko,s Sanavi and get the credit he,d deserve for doing it. Somehow I doubt it though.

I'm starting to see parallels between James DeGale and Audley Harrison...

  5. I'm not so sure this is such a tough fight to win. Sanavia looks on the slide. He's old and he's not fought a live opponent since Murat beat him 3 years ago.

DeGale should have much too much for this guy. Even if he doesn't stop him (which he surely should) then he should have enough to outwork him and even get a decision (even in Italy).

be interesting to see how his ego handles having to fight away. i'm sure the italians will do all they can to unsettle him, and it will be interesting to see how Frank handles him going forward...

Frank will use this as a bargaining chip.

''Leave me and you're off to Italywhere you'll need a KO to draw.

Stay, and we'll sort something out.''

I don't think Italy is any worse to get the nod than most places in Europe these days (including here)

I have to agree, I can't really slag off oversea officials and judge's when ours are amongst the worst going.

Sanavia was never great in his prime to be fair, I reckon degale has a good chance of going over and stopping him.

Yeah, makes me chuckle when people say British boxing has become corrupt. Even on our worst day we are still rank amateurs compared to the Spanish and Italians in 70s, 80, and 90s.
