This. His career has been shambolic. Immensely talented individual, but his career has been tragic so far.
Yes, sorry to say this is not a meaningful title fight. Whether or not it is a good fight or not will be down to the fighters and the contest, this belt means nothing. The English belt has become something of a stepping stone to the British, whereas these intercontinental belts simply confuse casual fans and dilute the value of the genuine international belts. Not saying this will be a bad fight, but I wish the belt weren't attached to it, as it makes it out to be something it is not, imho. It's just a domestic matchup, just like any other with no belt attached. Good luck to Frankie, nothing against him, but I'd forget the 'title' side of things. Isn't Cotto the WBB champ, too, yet who cares about that?
:rofl The funniest bit is the fact I have a feeling it could be true! Also, Rob has been in hiding for weeks and the first thread about Frankie and he's back in all his glory!
Agreed. It'll be "should of, would of, could of" with Frankie, you watch. (Hope to god that i'm wrong though)
I've seen Frankie Gavin in Greggs in Manchester ordering 5 Steak Bakes and devouring them all before the shop assistant gives him his change.
More to the point, what did Rob think he would of bought in a chipper thats tip-top ? Coulda just says aright Frankie Gavin aint it ? Then had a wee chatter......rather than staking out the chipper !!!
