First of all, nobody hates Diaz because of his fighting style. It's his lack of professionalism that's the biggest problem. Secondly I think most people know marijuana isn't considered a PED. Because it doesn't have the same function as steroids does not mean Diaz is allowed to smoke weed whenever he pleases. Fighters, like all working class citizens, need to abide by certain rules. You may think the marijuana prohibition is ridiculous but so is not being allowed to post nude pictures on ESB. Nobody can or will make Diaz drop his weed addiction. When he's not fighting or training he can smoke all he wants. Why is it so ****ing important to him to light up a joint during working hours and jeopardize his MMA career? The idiot needs to avoid weed when he's getting tested for it after a fight. It's a small sacrifice to make and if he isn't willing to do it then he is nothing but an immature thug who has absolutely no idea how to be a professional.

Agreed... except I don`t want him to retire, he`s one of the best fighters to watch excitement wise & on ability in all of MMA, it would be tragic for him to retire now.

Love how Nick bitches about the game but this is the second time he has hurt the game. Funny considering his whining was going to get him a rematch for a fight he definitely didn't win. However there will always be people who score heavily towards ineffective aggression.

Didn't Nick do an interview talking **** about how easy it is for him to smoke, train, and then clean his system for drug tests? Good job, Nick.

It's not his fighting style, it's his terrible inability to accept the blame for his own actions. He isn't a victim because pot isn't a PED, he knows damn well it's not allowed and he smoked anyways. Dumb rule or not, he knows that's what you have to follow and he didn't.

someone like nick diaz with a high metabolism and healthy body it might only take 3 days for it to leave his system, so he must of been smoking right up to the fight, if he cant lay off the smoke for the biggest fight of his life then he should retire

I guess the talk of Georges being pissed off at Diaz shook him a bit.

This **** is ridiculous. As a long-time smoker I can honestly say that I haven't found any of pot's effects to be performance enhancing in an athletic sense. Good for deep thought and introspection? Yes. Helpful in kicking someone's ass? Not at all.

    What a moronic stereotype.:patsch

I guess Diaz really is lazy as hell, I mean don't most lazy *******s train obsessively and run marathons and triathalons in their free time?

This isn't about marijuana being on the drug list or not. I admit it is debatable. This is about Diaz knowing its on the drug list and having a previous conviction with it and still ****ing himself up and hurting the game.

I've been reading that the test they do for marijuana is just urine and that means the person could have used the weed as long as one month ago. Hopefuly the commission sort it out, don't hurt him too bad and him and Condit rematch to clear up any controversy.

they'll probably slap him with a year suspension and a good part of his purse. It's the second time he's popped in Nevada.
