Screw that sissy looking loud mouthed punk Malignaggi! He is irrelevant to boxing. He has beaten no one of any caliber. He hits and runs like a little girl when he fights. He has no appeal, and can't draw flies. He only posseses a loud stupid egotistical mouth. I could never stand that guy. What did he ever do in boxing other than win a flaky made up title from someone. And why would Guerrero want to fight him? He has no credentials. Screw Malignaggi and his stupid desparate letter someone wrote for him. Hurry up and retire for good. I hate big mouth boxers that can't back up ****! Ali, Roy Jones and even Camacho could fight and put on great fights. Malignaggie you're a mess ha ha! Enough said about you! Go away!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    RG replies:

"Look at the facts Paulie, why did I turn you down? You're a tremendous puncher?? NO! You make for fan friendly fights?? NO! You are a HBO or Showtime approved fighter? NO! Fact is, Eric Gomez at Golden Boy said you wouldn't be approved to fight on a date that isn't a PPV. So if our promoter can convince a network that you are worthy enough to be on your own date, then lets rumble! I got a Shar Tank waiting."

I would add that there are more deserving fighters than Welterweight Paulie to fight this Lightweight.

    Sure buddy..

Just because I prefer Latino, more specifically the Mexican, and Colombian fighters, doesn't mean I don't like other fighters..

Through the years I've shown my support for:

Angel Manfredy, Zab Judah, Floyd Mayweather, Lennox Lewis, V Klitschkos, Joe Calzaghe, Kassim Ouma, David Tua, Arturo Gatti etc...these are some of my favorite fighters of the last decade or so, not including fighters I favor and root for that are Non-Latino.

    So GTFO with that ****.

Paulie has definitely been in the ring with the better competition.

His losses come against people who at the time have all been IN or immediately surrounding the top top p4p at the time. He was robbed by Diaz as well which he later rectified.

I really like this fight at 140. Robert has been doing a lot of barking and what better way to get national exposure of your readiness to get in the ring with those top 4-5 guys than on the Mayweather undercard. It gets you in position to start mentioning names like mayweather, pac, cotto, JMM, Morales. These are all fights that could be spring boarded to after a fight of this calibur.

If paulie doesn't hit hard, whats the risk? The ghost can go safely up in weight without the risk of being starched. The issue of paulie not being a draw is irrelevant because he will be on the biggest ppv of the first half of the year. (2nd biggest of the year if pac/mayweather goes through in Nov)

Paulie does good on the east coast ANYWAYS! Who says he isn't a draw? He doesn't have star power like cotto in the garden, but he does big numbers in new york! There are even posters of his fight with Khan still up in some areas! He may not sell out in LA but he absolutely puts asses in seats on the East coast!

Guerrero is just hoping to get a sound bite that one of those big dogs uses as spin to throw him a big payday. He probably ISNT afraid of paulie, but he would rather skip him as a stepping stone.

I think that this would be an excellant appetizer for the Mayweather Cotto undercard! Gives you a taste of that Cinco de Mayo flavor and would be a fight that I think both fighters would (and would have to) bring their best to put on a show for the huge event of the evening!

Paulie is a good, flashy but light-handed boxer so he most probably would get rocked by Guerrero. However, Guerrero seemed to be casted out of options here so he should have had that warm-up, no risk fight with Malignaggi... Or maybe try to get a fight with another unknown quantity at 147 pounds in Juan Guzman. Like this, Guerrero is not going anywhere which is a shame.
