Many "experts" thought Paulie would also be a stepping stone for Juan Diaz.

Why fight a guy with a boring style infront of possibly the biggest PPV of the year...Why not fight a fighter who is probably more deserving and with a better style that will bring out the best in Robert...

If Paulie wants to really fight Guerrero that bad, he can get his ass kicked by the Ghost later in the year.

But on My 5th, Robert should fight someone who can make it a entertaining fight.

he should fight somebody on May 5th that is 140 or 147 and is actually good, so when he calls out guys 2 divisions higher than him and ranked top 3 p4p, he doesn't sound like a fool

Juan Diaz was a chubby lightweight, part time boxer, full time student, who should have been fighting at Featherweight if he trained properly and lost all the extra fat, and to top it off, the fight was at Jr. Welter Weight, Paulies division at the time...oh, and BTW, Juan Diaz didn't need a Stepping Stone, he was already a world champion, so no Paulie wasn't considered a stepping stone. :verysad

Paulie is one of the only fighters in the game that doesn't give a damn about the politics in boxing

    RESPECT

Who cares if Paulie can carry an HBO card? This is PPV and both would get paid a decent sum. Guerrero can't carry an HBO card on his own and needs to get back in the public eye. Make the fight.

Have you ever seen the Herman Ngoudjo fight and the Lovemore Ndou II fight?? He lost those fights, but his record shows he won.

Why with Paulie, Paulie loses to all the top fighters and Paulie has a ****ing unpleasing style....

So that when Guerrero fights Paulie and beats him in a boring ass fight because Paulie was running the whole time people can complain about what a crap undercrad...

As much noise as Paulie makes he isn't a draw for a reason...Hell, HE IS ONLY FAMOUS BECAUSE OF THE ASS KICKINGS he has endured and his loud ass mouth.

From most of the **** I read leading up to that fight everyone had Diaz easily walking through Paulie n stopping him with no prob.. didn't work out that way did it.. You think Paulie's style is too boring for a May 5th bout with RG?.. Well that's ur opinion. Personally I'd love to see that fight; I've had the opportunity to see Paulie workout n spar a few times here in BK at Gleason's gym n even though I didn't speak to the guy I have nothing but the utmost respect for him and what he's accomplished throughout his career.

Guerrero is smart to avoid paulie, it'll be a boring fight and paulie could potentially make the fight very close. Guerrero should just say that straight up, theres no upside to fighting paulie. Paulie is smart to try and keep himself relevant with his mouth though as well. Paulie makes a good gatekeeper, but a boring gatekeeper.

He haven't accomplished anything? Did he not win the IBF world light welter title or am i missing something? Would have thought a world title is an accomplishment....

This is a joke. Malignaggi has been in many great entertaining fights. Name the barn burners Guerrero has been in?
