We criticize fighters for staying in the sport too long and tarnishing their legacies by fighting well past their best. They are numerous fighters who have retired on lows and fight because of financial mismanagement. Lewis is a rare exception who retired on top as champion and was smart with his money and people still hate on that.

Lewis waited ONE YEAR before he retired, QUIVERING IN FEAR from the great Vitali.

He was RUN OUT OF THE SPORT.

He turned down the BIGGEST PAYDAY OF HIS LIFE out of pure FEAR.

THAT is the truth about Mr. Lewis.

"Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage."

Please explain? What part is controversial about that stoppage? That was as a legit stoppage on cuts as you will ever see in your life in this sport. We have all seen fights stopped that were less severe than this one.

How many stitches did VK require? Wasn't it 90 or some number close to that?
This is one of the points here that VK fans make no sense at all--they would rather VK risk his career and eye sight because he was up 4-2 than to have a legit stoppage to allow the man to fight another day.

Here's a good question for you VK fans--would you be happy if VK had won by KO or on the cards BUT VK is blind in that eye for the rest of his life?

He promised a rematch but it's not like he went on to fight someone else - Lewis retired. klitschko should feel good about that. I think both brothers have gone on to build a legacy worthy of succeeding Lennox at this point.

He didn't wait a year before slinking away?

He didn't turn down a career high payday?

He didn't quit rather than honor his promise of a rematch?

Yes, and most Klitschko fans would be happy to honor Lewis, if he didn't keep trying to belittle the Klitschkos' reign and butt in and give "advice" to all their opponents.

Why does he need so badly to see them beat?

And he wants to take credit if and when they ever do lose.

I actually like Lennox, but his behavior toward the current champs is abysmal. Show some respect!

This does not object anything I've said. Even if Lewis genuinely believed that Vitali would be too much to handle and he would lose the rematch, he made the smart decision and retired on top as champion. He went out on top which is why he's generally regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight fighters ever.

I wasn't disagreeing or agreeing with anything.

I just can't believe people like you just can't let it go. I am pretty positive that Vitali is less bothered than half of you guys about this.

:lol::lol: Uh, hahaha. You gotta be kidding.

    I can't let it go?

If there's anybody who can't "let it go, " it's LENNOX LEWIS!

That's why he has to keep obsessing about beating the Klitschkos by proxy, his latest being Haye.

Riddle me this: if Lennox is so "over all of this," WHY does he keep approaching all of the Klitschkos'
opponents with his unasked for and unwanted "advice" on how to beat them?

Why doesn't he just go rest on his laurels and let the Klitschkos enjoy their title reign like he enjoyed his?

Actually both their careers pale in comparison to the career of Lennox, nice try though

Again, riddle me this: if Lennox is so "over all of this," WHY does he keep approaching all of the Klitschkos' opponents with his unasked for and unwanted "advice" on how to beat them?

What is this NEED Lewis has to see Vitali and/or Wlad lose?

Has any other retired ex-champion ever behaved like this toward the current champs?
