Im just sick of this ppl not giving pac his props for destroying DLH. How many lightweights can you name who has atleast a chance of duplicating pac's performance against a superwelterweight champ at a welterweight catchweight fight? Do you think half of Top 50 lightweight can do it even if fighting a non-dlh-lvl-type of fightr?

Except that de la Hoya was not a superwelter like you imply, but was rather a welterweight, fighting there for the first time in 7+ years, and a light one on the night of the fight at that.

    Two sides to every coin.

For the nutrider like yourself whom dont understand what weight draining is. Imagine you being 200 pounds and having to get down to 147. Making the weight is horrible enough to the body but even ROach himself said he saw where Oscar had the IV needle marks on his arms and he knew then that the fight was over. I thought the fight was supposed to be in the ring not on the scales. None of these accomplishments mean a dam thing because of the advantage that these guys try to get to fight fighters whom are really coming off victories in the first place. PAC coulve fought in the 140 division and defeated all the Bradleys, Alexanders, J Diaz, Campbells, Holts, Ortiz, Khan, Torress and many more but instead of fighting competitve fights he became the weight draining king.

If our Hero is scared of needles and cant clearly beat Marquez or handle a fighter that just circles away from his left hand and hes as clueless as a fish in the dessert.

Quite a few guys have jumped from lw to ww and been victorious.

Some have even achieved that feat against prime and/or premiere opposition.

I give marquez more credit for earning a draw against pac at ww than I do for pac destroying oscar at ww.

Pacquaio deserves nowhere near the same amount of credit as Shane Mosley for the same feat, though Shane did have a few tune ups at the weight.

I'd pick alot of LW champions to beat an Amemic, de-hydrated and basically ill fighter of whom the Lightweight actually outweighs on fight night.

Oscar was a walking skeleton fight night, he looked horrific.

He doesnt deserve ****. When Floyd beat Delahoya DLH was "shot and past it" when manny beat him he waseven more shot past it and weight drained.

That was his own fault though, he cherrypicked pac, I feel it should be more about the littke guys jump rather than oscars weight, he proved the win was no fluke and that he at the very least would hold his own vs a prime version.
Sometimes I think he would have gotten more credit if he had won a close ud rather than destroy him.

I dont think he proved that he is as good at 147 as Oscar was at his best.

Pac deserves credit for a good performance but it was against a drained & empty shell of a former great.

I pick Rios to beat Angulo at 147 and with Angulo only gaining a pound or 2 after weighin

DLH was a superwelter and Pac was a lightweight champ. That's why DLH had to reduce his weight (you can say drain himself) to be able to fight Pac.

Also, remember that DLH had a tune up fight before facing Pac.
