All of this is irrelevant. Both fighters will make career-highs if the fight happens. I think I've figured out Floyd's thinking. He wants the larger split so, even if he loses, he can still say he made more $$ than Pac, which for him is probably a huge consolation. He's that demented.

Not an excuse but an actual fact. May 5, mexican independence day, two big name latinos will be fighting. 1+1=2.

Pac has sold more since de la hoya. and he could use that as a reason to demand more than 50/50.
He could also use the fact that he's fighter of the decade and tops mayweather in all polls regarding earnings over the last few years.
He's also still ranked number one by the ring which is the most official.

But he isn't because he's happy to agree 50/50.

Mayweathers average is higher, but you do have to take into account he fought less.

Its a 50/50 fight. Everyone agreed with this untilfloyd said otherwise. Dont be a sheep

The Fundamental flaw with your argument is that Pac had stated in the past that he would except less money. :deal

Floyd won't be able to pull it off if it's an American boxer he's fighting on may 5. You seriously believe Floyd really wanted to fight pac on may 5?

then how come floyd and Mosley(two americans) did 1.5 together? is mosley a bigger ticket seller and draw than floyd? get over it. how come cotto vs margarito couldnt do over a mill if hes the reason why this fight will sell? Canelo? when the last time hes been a headliner in a PPV? FLOYD is the reason why fights sell.

what? Arum didnt offer Manny the deal he wanted thats his promoter. Mayweather also didnt offer Manny the deal he wanted. You know why? Because both Mayweather and Arum are not going to pay somebody 50 mil up front plus a huge share of the back end. You are not going to take all the risk and give somebody doing nothing the same return.

Lol hes not fighting a Mexican, hes fighting a Puerto Rican. Mexicans hate Puerto Ricans and vice versa. How is that going to help him on Mexican Independance day?

Easiest way out of a fight is too price yerself out of it simple as & even *****'s know this & floyds now been chased out of 147 by Pacquiao but floyd will sneak back down as long as Mathew Hatton is available when Pac's next fight is sorted & signed for November.

Mayweather will say & do whatever it takes to AVOID the CLEAR & PRESENT danger of fighting a midgit that can't box.

This clears it up for me. I had been confused. I thought the 50/50 split was in Mayweather's panties. I thought it was fear of a scrotum check.

If Mayweather wasn't interest in fighting Pac he wouldn't have made the effort. He would have just made the Cotto fight and claimed Arum needs to contact him.
