Malignaggi is probably right and he's not that disrespectful toward Guerrero. It's true that may 5th would be a huge platform and Malignaggi is a skilled boxer with a name. There doesn't seem to be a huge list of big names who wants to fight him and he'll have to accept it.

 

Shouldn't Guerrero be able to make it an exciting fight then? Shouldn't he be able to carry the show?? That's what he's saying right? He can perform like the big names in the game right now? He should be able to show us! Get in there and mix it up with someone who has been a champion.

The Ghost just wants to skip the step of fighting a challenger and step into the ring with the greats. Credit to him for calling out the big names, but he has a pretty weak resume himself IMO. Several of his fights coming from untested or built up mexican opposition(no offense to my Mexican homies).

This fight is what the BOTH of them need if they actually want to be taken seriously at 147. Because paulie HAS BEEN IN THE RING with some PFP people, Guererro should take this one to say 'Because I have beaten a guy who got in the ring with the Cotto's and Hatton's of his time, I deserve a shot to be in the ring with the greats of MY time'. If he doesn't take this fight, it is a VERY poor business move.

 

When Paulie becomes relevant they can fight...But Paulie's style sucks as far as excitement goes, I would rather have a boxer puncher against Robert on the undercard of a $60 PPV, not some gay looking dude who will run and can't ever beat anyone solid.

And the one guy he managed to beat was Juan Diaz, a part time boxer, full time college student, who by boxing standards is fat as **** fighting at LW when he should be a featherweight (maybe explains his lack of power) GET THIS: Paulie fought him at the Jr. WW limit, a weight that Paulie is considered big for. :deal Great ****ing accomplishment Paulie, you finally beat a fighter with a name, too bad his best days and weight divisions were long gone.
