Here is my take on the future for both parties mainly the prospects star and PPV star potential of they young fighters

    GoldenBoy

    Broner
    Khan
    Alvarez
    Russell Jr.
    Wilder
    Guerrero
    Garcia
    Kirkland
    Lara
    Mares

Broner could be a PPV attraction if he keeps winning and continues his Mayweather-esque gimmick people will pay and talk about him to see him with hopes of him losing, and it does not hurt that he is very talented. Alvarez has a huge following in Mexico already and could become a big PPV star with that classic Mexican warrior style. Khan if he gets his act together can generate alot of buzz in both the U.S and U.K and reach a Ricky Hatton type level Mares can someday become a PPV attraction too especially to the Mexican audience. Russell Jr. is extremely talented, but I'm afraid due to his nice guy personality and drama free lifestyle (hes the anti Floyd) he may not be a PPV star people will adapt too but could be a star in the p4p rankings (Ward may end up like this too).

Wilder is a big question mark if they wait till the Klistchkos retire and he lives up to atelast 80% of his potential he could be a huge PPV star and can take the heavyweight division by storm in the same fashion Tiger Woods took golf by storm, He is an american heavyweight with talent has the style height and charisma but again huge question mark. Guerrero has skills but he probably will never be a PPV star because competition ahead of him in terms of mexican star/ppv attraction (Alvarez Garcia, Chavez Jr.) is too great, sorta reminds me of what Marquez went through with Barrera and Morales. Lara, Kirkland, and Garcia seem to have some talent but due to them having little following they won't ever be PPV attractions.

    Top Rank
    Garcia
    Rios
    Bradley
    Donaire
    Gamboa
    Chavez Jr.
    Lopez
Rigondeaux (I know he is not all that young but I put him here for the hell of it)

Chavez Jr. due to his fathers name could become a PPV star and he seems to have improved. Lopez has PPV star potential in a Trinidad fashion its just he cant afford any more setbacks, Garcia is the same way he could have that Barrera/Morales type popularity if he keeps winning and getting into exciting fights in the lighter divisions.

Gamboa, Rigondeaux and Donaire are all very talented and have the right countries behind them to become big PPV star attractions but for some reason they are not giving them as much love especially Gamboa and Rigondeaux if this could be fixed Arum is good money here. Bradley is a real talented fighter but he just does not sell, neither does bhop and he is consistently on the top 10 p4p lists. Rios is a question mark I think he is going to suffer what I've said about Guerrero good young fighter but its just too much Mexican talent infront of him to become a PPV attraction.

My final take is I think Goldenboy will be better off in the long run I just feel they talent will pan out better and DLH seems to have good young executives in Al Haymon and Richard Schaefer, it also seems that Goldenboy is more keen to do business with other promoters and does not seem to PPV every chance they get unlike Top Rank. Arum does not have much time left in the game and who knows what direction they will be in after his departure.

I'm wrong. You're not selling weed. That's cheap. You're selling meth. That's better.

Once Pacquiao retires Top Rank will be in bad shape. GBP has more big draws among the next generation of fighters.

don king finally crumbled when chavez and tyson left and he squeaked around with john ruiz at the end if that tells you anything...so i see bob not being much of a factor in a few years either

Wishful thinking guys. TR is still the best promotional company, and knows how to make big stars and make them well known. GBP, his main competitor, is **** at matchmaking and making stars.

Without HBO subsidy, GBP is going to be in some hard times ahead.

TR made DLH, Floyd, Pacquiao...it won't be too long before they have another one.

No one is besting Top Rank because they haven't mastered their formula of not only building up their prospects, but also building up opponents as credible for them. I think Arum is scum, but he is ****ing brilliant.

I browsed Ring's top 10 P4P list and Top Rank has 2 young boxers there (Donaire and Bradley) while GBP got none.

Floyd can fight Martinez and Khan, both big fights with non Arum guys. Though Khan kind of ****ed things up by loosing which kills that for a little bit
