Where has Ricky Burns' new found power come from? PEDs? Illegal hand wraps? Or does it only exist in the minds of his fans?

So are people givin moses no chance against burns or what the way everyone seems to be lookin forward to the mitchell fight? Now I think burns should beat moses but it's not a sure thing. Moses only has 1 loss and has travelled and got the win before so he's no tomato can

Is Burns being good an ESB meme that I've missed? Is Ricky Burns a poor man's WAR hat?

Katsidis is completely different fighter to Burns plus he can actually punch hard.

Martinez put burns over, Kev will do the same and finish the job. Yes Ricky burns is a very technical fighter with a good defence but Kevin is more viscous and spiteful. It's a great mouthwatering fight. The venue will be whatever makes Frank ****** the most amount of money. I don't think either fighter will have a say. Billy I respect u as a trainer and u have done a fantastic job, my only criticism is your lack of respect, by coming on this forum with such a bias. Also revealing sparring sessions is a bit disappointing, team tibbs has that bit more class not to divulge what goes on in the gym. No one got ko or wobbled in sparring and it was a case of fitness, between the two fighters. May the best man win IMO

Not sure about a mismatch, but I strongly favor Ricky.

I like the way this is going its got everyone with an opinion talking and its got supporter of both boxers talking up there guy . I do think Ricky wins a hard fought 12 round on points and it will be a classic, billy has to talk up his boxer and quite right to as he is the top guy in Briton but sometime he needs to be more gracious in his comments regarding his boxers opponents .

All you need to look at is that Burns handled Katsidis and the Aussie battered Mitchell to pieces without breaking a sweat.

Where do people get this idea Kevin is a big puncher? He simply ain't at lightweight or probably any weight at the top level. That chap walked through him most of the fight, Mitchell's power was all too infrequent.

Mitchell has good power as u see in the 2nd round against lora on Friday. Lora had only been stopped once and fought Devon alexanda in his 10th fight. It was a controlled performance by Mitchell. When I watched first time I was worried but when I replayed the fight I noticed Mitchell took hardly any punishment. His head movement on back foot was very good, he slipped alot of potential hurtful shots. In the last round he could of got him out of there, which I was gutted he didn't as I had 9,10 for Mitchell ko. The key to burns Mitchell IMO will be weather Kev gets super fit, if he does then I strongly believe he will have Ricky hurt and a late stoppage victory.
