No on ever talks about this guy, been through alot, very underated fighter. Awkward style for sure but has beaten the odds and is always an underdog. Any other fans of this guy out there? Cant believe hes not talked about more. This content is protected
hes a title holder whos fought three times in three years.... Needs to leave King. Was hoping to see him vs mayorga
he is one of those cases of guys who win a belt and get ducked ya think him being considered the weakest of the 154 beltholders meant guys would flock to try and get a belt off of him its been the opposite, guy got a belt and people are not fighting a low reward high risk guy because they can fight a beltholder carried by a network for more money
agree completely, his style is so awkward that no one seems to want to fight him, needs a big break if you ask me, first saw him on the contender and he was singled out as the weakest but did really well, that has sumed up his career really. right on the tip of getting big fights and paydays but i dont think he will.
him vs Kirkland or Molina would be a great fight, i think he should dump the belt rather than face Spinks in Spinks home town for peanuts he should fight ranked guys in a different org and get mandatory status for a different belt and try to take on a better champ
Thats the tragedy of boxing. We got champions that still work eight hrs a day jobs cause they cant make a living in thier chosen field. All those belts need to be consolidated so that people can put work in and get paid. There are six champions at 154, and the WBA got three by itself. That **** dont make no sense.
I want him in with another top 10 contender (I know he beat Powell, who was). Personally, I wanted Alvarez vs. Bundrage on May 5th. The champs at 154 off my head are: IBF- Bundrage WBC- Alvarez WBO- Dzinziruk's old belt, I think it went his opponent after he backed out (?) WBA- Cotto, Trout, and Mundine
WBA> Cotto , Austin Trout, Anthony Mundine WBC> Saul Alverez IBF> Bundrage WBO> Zaurbek Baysangorov Thats sounds like a super six tourniment.
I have k9 beating mundine, trout and Baysangorov. Thinking mundine would be a good next bout for him one id like to see.
He is in the same position than Austin Trout....Title Holder, does'nt have a big fan base nor a big name even if both are ''champions'', both also had akward styles and are dangerous for any top contenders and are in a high risk low reward situation because of all of the aforementioned facts.
Yeah, I hear what you saying, Its all about the money but check this out, if Mayweather beats Cotto and decides to stay at 154 then that opens the door for those guys cause people will get interested in who at 154 can knock Money out the box. We might start seeing some movement in that division.
