Does anyone know if there is a re-match clause in the contract for Khan-Peterson II?

    I'd very much doubt it.

Why is that just out of interest? I don't really understand in what cases they would be used?

You negotiate them. You can't have a rematch clause for a mandatory fight (or for a draw, quite often), but anything voluntary you can do as you will.

Ok. Do you think it's something Peterson would have tried to negotiate or is he planning to move to welter after this fight win or lose?

Well because Khan wouldn't have signed anything that meant he'd have to fight Peterson for a third time for belts he believe's are still his, and its the Champions prerogative to have a rematch clause so Khan can't put one in for if he gets beat again.

I was more thinking that since Peterson is now the champion, he may have wanted one in there incase he loses this time round.

He may have wanted one, but Khan was never going to give him one, I think Khan still has one eye on moving upto 147, so he wouldn't want to be kept at 140 should he get the win.

Hope not. Whoever wins this time deserves the chance to go onto other fights. If it's close again, then both can get big fights after or maybe a rematch will naturally occur but I'd hate for it to be forced again.

i would be shocked if there is one either way.

I think we will see a close fight withy Khan getting a dodgy decision and a 3rd fight will happen down the line at 147.

Completely agree with this. I reckon people will call for a third fight but Khan is def moving up to 147. Can't fault Peterson's character or personality, but Khan is by far the bigger draw and I can see Peterson chasing for the third fight.
