Why are there so many boxers with great records that barely anyone knows?

    That has no deep interest in boxing? Why don't they get a title shot? is it because of their promoters?

    Mostly because those records are usually padded beyond believe, and they never fought a really decent opponent (or did and lost).

    Take David Rodriquez for instance... 36-0, 34KO's... looks good on paper, but I doubt he ever fought a guy inside the top 100.
    And there are more of those examples.

    Because they're D Level fighters beating up chicken farmers in barns in Oklahoma

    Because 30 wins against 30 cab drivers < 1 win against a top 20 opponent
