Murray vs Smith is a fight I would be happy to see.

I can't see him being competetive but fair play for giving it a go. I never really understand the hate.

Saunders would do a number on him now.

Im glad Paul beleives it , because im not sure there is many others who do

On a positive and serious note , the shot he caught Groves with in the first round was sharp and precise , and it would of inflicted some damage on lesser men , and he looked in good nick (first time that can be said in years) , if Paul can re produce Ama form at this stage of his pro career , you just never know

But people have been banging that drum for 5 - 6 years now

One would think Joe Gallagher doesnt give anybody a free pass when it comes to conditioning an thats been a big problem of Paul's for several years

Barker would give him a boxing lesson
    Macklin would KO him early
Murray might be competitive but my money would be on Smith getting stopped

    This :deal

  11. It's tough to see him beating any of those three.

I think he'd be pretty weak at 160, in 30 odd pro fights he's only made the weight or been within a couple of lbs of it a handful of times.

By all accounts as an amateur he was top class, but he's largely flattered to deceive in the pro ranks and never really looked the part whenever I've seen him.

Put it this way, he's got two recent KO losses to up and coming lads. How would you rate their chances vs Macklin, Barker and Murray?

By all accounts he went through the SMW route as that's where the fights and money was at the time. He was never a natural SMW and his conditioning showed that.

If he's in shape at MW I think British, then European belts shouldn't be a problem then he's in with a chance at a title shot.

Good chin (the shot Groves caught him with was a monster!) can bang hard enough and by all accounts he does have decent boxing skills which I don't think he's had a chance to show in recent fights.

He got himself close to mandatory for the British MW belt before the Groves fight came calling. (2 quick wins at MW)

But Macklin and Murray look so much bigger and better conditioned than Smith

I dont buy that at all. When he went to 168 there was **** all domestically apart from the likes of Quigley, Dodson etc whereas Macklin and Barker were kicking around domestically at 160 and also talk of Moore and Rhodes moving up.

He shat out of 160 originally IMO and now only wants back down there as 168 is too hard in this country and our best middles have now moved to World contention

  15. That's why we need less weight divisions.

**** or get off the pot.
