The thread has been done before on 140, but 147 is where Cotto peaked in terms of skills and offensive sharpness (unless he can regain that disposition with his reinforced fundamentals today.) I think he'd stop Hatton late.

Someone getting stopped with a bodyshot here?? Originally I thought Cotto straight away but then I thought about Hattons relentless pressure and how would it affect Cotto? Would he backpeddle? Hattons not as big as Margo, if Cotto could hold him off would he choose to outbox Hatton?

Real interesting fight this would of been. Id of preffered it at 140 but at 147 I'd say Cotto wins a decision with 8-4 perhaps even a late stoppage. I don't think Hatton had the size at 147 to trouble someone like Cotto who although small has filled out now into an about averaged sized JMW.

I could see Cotto getting Margarittoed

at 140 though when Hatton was peak. The HAtton who walked down Kosta Tyszu I think would do the same to Cotto

Close close fight. Hatton was knocked out by the best boxers in the world and I think he would do great against Cotto, I see a close split decision to Miguel Cotto in a classic fight where both gets knocked down

Cotto. More power, plus he could simply outbox Hatton all night.
