BoxNation isn't exactly PPV in the traditional model though is it?

Ok...I dont have any interest in Mayweather perhaps lots of other casual fans do.

They could have deal where Mayweather gets a % based on the number of subscriptions around the time of his fight. They could get an extra 25,000 subscribers and he could have half of the £10 monthly fee for May. That's just an example.

This is technically a "Mayweather Promotions" show (with GBP doing all the leg work). That's probably why it's not part of the Sky deal.

I can believe that Boxnation have got this with the idea being that if people sign up this week then there 6 months will include Klitschko-Chisora, Cleverly, Burns and the Mayweather fight. It's there best chance of getting people to make a 6 month commitment

But I think it speaks volumes about how well those Primetime PPVs really did if Primetime have disappeared

Credit where credits due. VVarren's making a heck of a gamble, he must be putting a lot of money down to get these fights. If that doesn't equate to major new subscriptions he could have problems.

I doubt Boxnation would get this they would have had to bid way over the odds which they can't really afford to do atm

Bad news this. I'm not subscribing to another sports channel to watch one fight.

Nobody is going to part with 50 quid to watch Mayweather, it needs to be on a month by month basis.

Personally I think they should offer individual nights for £15 like Klitschko-Chisora/Magee-Markussen on Saturday for example. That way you can get some people with a casual interest but not upset the regular subscriber
