The fight between Hopkins and Dawson is on Saturday, April 28, 2012 , ok . The Bute-Froch fight could be on April too or 5 may , it depends on how both sides agree on this. If Hopkins beats Dawson convincingly and Bute does the same thing to Froch ( second fight being pointless ) , I think a Hopkins-Bute fight would be very interesting at 170 p. c.w, This content is protected , imo .
Wait a second...The only reason why Bute is willing to fight in England is because Froch is finished and lost his last fight :bart :deal
For sure they're looking and thinking about american fans but this fight has the potential to be spectacular. A real warrior/brawler like Froch and a counter-puncher like Bute could be a hell of a fight even if I think L.B will be the winner with an easy UD. This fight could end with Froch by KO as Bute hasn't been tested really hard by lack of quality opposition or Bute by KO with a viscious body punch destroying Froch's liver. It's gonna be even more spectacular if the fight is in Nottingham :hey
tbh I think is better for Bute to have a first fight in u.k, defending his title against Froch because IF , IF Bute will lose his belt in u.k then according to the clauses from their contract Bute will get a rematch in Canada ! I'm 100% sure that is a rematch clause in the contract for both sides ! But if the first fight would have held in Canada and Bute would have won and then he should have given a rematch to Froch in U.k ..... it would have been a little bit too risky for Bute to have his last contractual rematch-fight in England .
Exactly! Being the champion, it's much more interesting to have the revenge at home if he lose the 1st fight. If Bute clearly win in England, I don't think we'll see a second fight in MTL this fall as Lucian will be looking to Ward.
And when the real news hits, and the fight aint happening in the UK it shows that Bute has no balls? :thumbsup
Probably yes, but think about if Froch's promoter demanded a "fat" rematch clause in the contract if Froch loses ?? ..... it could be stipulated in the contract a second fight in Canada! Terms and conditions This content is protected the same for both sides !
Bute got off on the wrong foot. Most people's first impression of him was the long count and controversy of the Andrade fight. Then, he fought less than stellar competition and his fans went nuts. Maybe he gets a little Slappy Joe backlash: he is a white 168 pounder fighting low comp at home. Maybe he gets a little Mayweather backlash: somehow it's never his fault the big fight doesn't happen.
Me neighter... Would love to see Froch-Bute in Nottingham. But I just dont believe in team Butes willingness to fight in the UK (in the first fight). Words means nothing to me actions does.
