Now, I know Shane Mosley way past his prime, is a shell of what he once was, and aside the Margarito miracle, he hasn't looked spectacular since he schooled Luis Collazo back in 2007.

But surely, if people are going to give Mayweather and Pacquiao some credit for beating Mosley, Saul deserves some too...Perhaps more than Mayweather and Pacquiao since arguably they are the #1 and #2 P4P champions in the world, while Canelo is a kid holding nothing more than paper title.

So if unlike Pacquiao, Canelo fights an injury free Shane Mosley

Should Canelo get the same amount if not more credit than Floyd and Manny got taking into consideration he's young, not P4P, and may fight a injury free Shane?

Mayweather get's a little credit, Pacquiao gets none and neither will Canelo though if he ended it with a spectacular KO it wouldn't hurt his rep.

Pac gets no no credit because he fought Mosley after a draw with Mora...***** move!!

Mayweather gets alot of credit because everybody said he would never fought him and he did after he destroyed the lineal champ in Margarito.

Canelo should get some credit but not as much as Mayweather. Mosley, even at 40, will still be the fastest and strongest puncher Canelo has ever faced. biggest stage and fight for him so he will get some credit.

so after SSM looked like **** against cotto and lost, beat a clown mayorga, then destroyed a guy in margo who (floyd would never fight) and when the fire was hot wouldnt get in the ring with shane....but waited 18 months later when he was that much older and even with a freakish performance against margo, SSM was the oldest ****ing guy ever to win a welterweight title , so floyd does go down in history for beating the oldest guy to ever win a 147 pound title and shane hasnt won since....so if that doesnt tell you he was done when they fought, nothing will

No he was 38 and 39 years old... :patsch Big ****ing woohooo! He still wasn't the Mosley that fought DLH back in 2000...

Also, Canelo isn't on Mayweather's or Pacquiao's level, so if these two guys get even an ounce of credit, Canelo deserves some if not more taking there experience and skill level into consideration.

Depends on how Mosley looks in the fight and how Alvarez claims victory. If Mosley looks as bad as he has recently though, Alvaerz would entitled to about as much credit as Pacquiao vs DLH. Beat the name, not the fighter.
