NOTHING I have seen in major news outlets said anything about a catchweight. All I have seen is 154 limit.
I haven't seen anything concrete.. Who really knows except that its a junior middle fight. But I've read Steve Bunce saying he doesn't believe it to be at the full limit as well as a couple other people.. I'm not too concerned either way. 150 or higher is fine for Cotto..
No link or STFU. and not another boxing message board, but an acatule boxing news site. If your going to make the accuesion than back it up with sources. Don't just say "do your homework"
I think fighting at 154 helps Cotto over Floyd. People say Cotto is better at 150, but I think maybe size wise, but not style. He has adapted his style better for 154 and has filled into the weight ok.. Fighting at 150 messes it up for him and Floyd knows it. I hope it is not true. The catchweight stuff for at title is not right.
cotto did offer to fight pac no lower than 150, pac didn't take it, we could also assume that's what cotto also offered floyd.
If it is at 150, I will not reconize Mayweather as the WBA 154 champion. I don't reconize Pacquiao's "championships" at 154 or 147 because they were won at catchweights.
do you recognize floyd as the 147 champion when he won it over ortiz who won it over berto via a cacthweight fight?
what? The fuk are you blabbering about? Your taking 2 seperate items Pugi- I can easily come back and say, well Pac only became the #1 lb 4 lb fighter because Floyd retired-Floyd would still be in that one spot if he had not retired- The point your trying to make is pathetic-how old are you?
146 was the weight for the Berto-Ortiz fight..Berto tried to get it at 147 but Team Ortiz would not budge and Berto wanted the money fight-
He made a perfectly valid point. Your example is stupid at best. If you can't win a championship via catchweight, Ortiz was a champ via catchweight therefore whoever beats him is not beating a champ. That said, 147/150/154 doesn't matter, Cotto-Floyd are practically the same size. We saw how Floyd muscled Mosley, if anything Floyd may look bigger and stronger than Cotto.
lmfao-it isn't a good point-it actually shows nothing- ORTIZ WAS THE 147LB CHAMP AT THE TIME. You can twist it n turn it how u want-He was the 147lb champ. don't matter what weight Ortiz fought Berto at-as long as they were in the rules- I dissagree-:deal Floyd has 0 control over the Ortiz-Berto weight-his job is to fight-not make sure the previous fight was at the official weight.
n on top of that, Pugi needs to go back and try and argue other points anyways-he has been owned by me so many times-he is down like 288-0...He should be working on posts I posted to him from a year ago-the guy doesn't bring the right info and his argument is weak and pathetic-
