If Boxnation are allegedly already struggling to pay fighters how do they pay for these 2?

I also dont see how Boxnation promotes this enough to get people to subscribe, there's currently no advertising that Im aware of, I never hear about boxnation anywhere else apart from here! Ive read it once in local newspaper, I dont buy a daily national newspaper.

Don't Bunce and Frank both write columns for big newspapers on a regular basis? Surely that advertises the channel to a large audience.

Maybe Boxnation outbid Sky as a last shot at attracting subscribers. If they don't get the numbers, then they will fold, and not pay Floyd. If they get the subscribers, then they live to fight another day.

What other big fights are out there that can potentially draw in casuals? Groves vs Anderson, Cleverley vs Karpency? TBA vs TBA ? Those fights barely draw in the hardcore!

Will Sky now pretend that Mayweather doesn't exist, and give the fight zero coverage on Ringside? They seemed pretty hyped about his return last week.

It only advertises it to the ones that read it, (Boxing Fans) I hardly ever read a national newspaper these days just the local one.

To attract the fans outside of hardcore fans I think they will need to do more than include it in their regular column.

You are clearly working to a different definition of the word "essential" than the rest of the English speaking world, young Oliver.

Sky have actually acted like adults about the whole BoxNation thing - for the most part at least. would imagine that they will still preview this fight at least.

Totally different situation. The mayweather fight is one off event they bought for one night. A UFC contract would be for a 2 year commitment minimum which I doubt they can afford

The difference is the UFC have a long term plan, they aren't just looking for a short term cash grab so they won't tie themselves to Boxnation. Plus it would only lead to problems because people want Boxnation to show fights from the US and you'd have clashes with UFC shows. There is a UFC show the same night as Mayweather-Cotto

At the moment there isnt much for that month but they have got Stieglitz-Kessler and will probably have Hopkins-Dawson II. Sturm - Zbik is also one they will most likey show so thats three.Frank will get a few smaller cards on that month.

    Wouldn't Hopkins-Dawson be a Golden Boy/Sky show?

It may well not be because I was surprised Sky didn't mention it
