Tim Bradley passed go, collected 200 pounds and is on the way to get hospitalised by Pac. I expect him to take a Cotto-esqe beating, probably getting Ko'd late though too.

Thats him gone for a year, then 1 or 2 tune ups upon return, back end of 2013 at least before he's relevant again.

Pac/May will probably take the rest of the year off after their fights....

Maidana I expect to lose to Alexander

Matthyse is off the radar right now

Marquez isn't up to much and Katsidis has vanished

Prescott just got KTFO by a prospect

What does all this mean, and how can it be good for Amir I hear you wonder aloud :think

Well, if he beats Petersen this time, Khan pretty much will have options, all the major threats are either accounted for or tied up.

So Khan would be free to pick whoever he wants to fight, and will be in a strong position, he can still make $$$$ fighting whoever he wants in England, so if he did want to make a fight with Marquez say, or Ortiz or whoever he will be in a very strong position to negociate.

He'll stand clear atop the division at 140 and be in the position of power, guys like Matthyse etc would have to accept chump change if they want a fight because if Khan doesnt give them one he can easily fight Matthew Hatton in Manchester or Bolton and make millions while they toil in the bingo halls.

Of course if you hate Khan then this isnt good for you, but for Khan and his fans, he beats Petersen then he gets to choose whoever he wants to fight and go about his career however he wants pretty much.

I dont care if he beats Peterson, its how he beats him that counts. Screw the money talk, if he doesn't show skill he can forget the dollar bill.

Totally agree. If he beats him by just doing the exact same things he did last time (but upping the tempo by 20% this time), then I'm gonna' be disappointed. He must show some variety. Even it's a little bit. Noone's expecting him to shut Peterson out completely. It's gonna' be a tough fight again. But by proving that he can fight more than one way, and that he's made improvements to deservedly win, then that'll be ok.
