Would you say Chisora's victory over Helenius is better than Haye's over Valuev?

  1. Just curious how this poll will go.

That's an interesting question. I'd say that Del boy's victory was more impressive. He was a massive underdog and everyone expected him to be knocked out by the next best thing. Chisora went there and pretty much kicked the Fin's arse.

On the other hand, Holyfield had probably already beaten SNV.

Technically you are correct. But I trust my eyes over the eyes of those corrupt judges any day

    Chisora.

Would you say Chisora's defeat to Fury is better than Haye's loss to Wlad?

  9. Probably Chisora.

On the face of it you'd say that Chisora's win was miles better, in light of him having been soundly beaten by Fury, and Helenius having racked up a few tasty looking KO's in recent fights, and SNV being made to look completely useless by Holyfield a year in advance of Haye's fight against him.

But.... I can't help but think that Helenius's recent results flattered him. Sure, he's a powerful man but the way he looked completely clueless once Chisora got on his chest has an adverse affect on my rating of him.

In a H2H fight between the two (at the time the fights occured) I'd favour Helenius over SNV, and the manner of Chisora's victory was more impressive too..... though I would favour a younger SNV to win.

Haye basically picked Valuev's pockets, whereas Chisora did a real job on Helenius. David probably underestimated himself as a HW, he could have gone out and really imposed himself on some of them instead of the ''running around like a chicken, winging in the odd big right hand here and there'' style.

Haye would still wreck Chisora though. Del would be too static and too easy to hit with the big shots.

Chisora outlanded Helenius 2 to 1, Dictated the pace, and force the fight. Chisora clearly won at least 8/9 rounds out of 12. Some even having Chisora at a near shut out winning 10-2. By all definitions Chisora won the fight, 90%+ agreed on an ESB poll that Chisora won, and the over whelming majority of boxing commentators agreed that Chisora won the fight. In fact I don't remember there being even one journalist standing up and agreeing with the crooked judges that Helenius even came close to winning the fight.

Haye's win was "better", Chisora's was more unexpected.

Hayes win is obviously bigger. Britain has only a few heavyweight title holders, even in the abc era hayes win over values stands out. Quite sad really.
