Carl "The Truth" Williams vs Audley Harrison

Carl Williams. I'm just not impressed by Audley at all.

Carl Williams was a good fighter Audley was NOT!!!

 

Depends on how good Audley was with a left hand... Don't know much about him, but if he had even a halfway decent left hook, Williams might have problems as he couldn't even stand in the same room with a left hooker without having an allergic reaction

Fraudley gets confronted by The Truth. No brainer for me. It's unfair putting Williams in Harrison's bracket. He put on a fine performance against Holmes.

Just studied some footage of Harison on film as well as broke down his record... Not terribly impressive.... HOWEVER... This was a south paw fighter, with a big punch and a fair amount of size.... i don't think this is as easy of a fight for The Truth as many are making out to be... Jesse Ferguson, Jerry Jones, James Tillis and an aged weaver all had truth down with the left hook, and a few of those guys even beat him.. Harrison for all his limitations was a natural south paw, with good power and at 6'5", and whatever he weighed would deny carl any sort of size advantage......

 

Magoo, Harrison was completely incompetent against any halfway-decent fighter.Not the best fighter to try and build an honest contrarian opinion around.

 

Carl was a good fighter. He had good offensive skills, just never figured out how to protect his chin.

Fraudley Harrison is just a useless sack of ****, as a pro anyway.

 

Not building him up to be anything more than what he was, which was mediocre.... But a powerful hitting left handed guy has a chance against Williams.. Incidentally, Carl Williams was what I would call a " decent" fighter, but not great or even very good by any means... His competitive showing against the same version of Holmes who lost to spinks and decisions over an aged berbick and Tillis, have seemingly fooled a lot of people into believing that he was better than he really was.

 

Exactly.I don't rate Williams as more than decent either, but he could fight.

Audley had no natural fighting ability whatsoever.Being big and hard hitting is good if you are willing to walk forward, throw punches and get set into ****s.
