I have Monzon as the favorite over every other middleweight in history, this is unusual because usually i can think of some one who i would favor to beat my H2H number 1 in a weight class but not Monzon.

I think Jake Lamotta and Gene Fullmer have a chance with their very aggressive style swarming style, granite chin and infinite stamina. Unlike all the other people he fought Monzon will not be controlling the tempo of the fight and will be on the backfoot all night. He isn't going to be getting a KO either. I can see either fighter being given the nod due to their constant aggression and high volume punching.

The best MW version of SRR could also beat Monzon, he'd simply beat him to the punch.

Roy Jones also has a very good chance

Hopkins is not a bad choice.

Was tempted to say him but all i'd be going on is newspaper reports and stories, if i lent the same courtesy to Jack Dempsey i'd favour him over majority of Heavyweights.

Hagler for sure. Being a jack-of-all-trades fistically speaking, Marvin had all the right tools defensively and offensively.
A prime MW Robinson would outpoint him.
And then there are the blazing speedsters, who, IMO, would be a nightmare for Monzon stylistically speaking. Roy Jones and Nunn are two such examples.
Hearns has a good chance, given his speed and power. If that right hand connects, anything is possible.

Robinson, Hagler, Hopkins and Luis Manuel Rodriguez.

I don't see Lamotta and Fullmer having much sucess especially when we see Monzon dealing with a great pressure fighter in Briscoe with relative ease.

I actually think Monzon might stop Jake in 15. I know how that sounds, but I just think he would be landing, one-two, one-two, one-two all night, LaMotta I think would miss his first punch so much...I think he would not like it at all in there.

I maybe got a bit over-excited there calling stoppage.

Monzon's average hand speed would not be a disadvantage against Fullmer and Jake, his raking left jab, sapping bodyshots, and lazer right hand would give them nightmares imo. Wrong style to beat Carlos.imo.

Mickey Duff ,an astute judge of styles said Monzon would be able to consistantly place his right hand over Ray's lead , not good news for the Sugar man. SRR was fantastic, but at 160, and older, he was beatable only by a chosen few, but beatable none the less.
