Will a new star be born in Gamboa if he beats/KO Rios impressively?

    Simply not true buddy

He is in my mind , one of the most talented inside fighters in the world today , he is as " hard as nails " , good cardio , solid fundamentals , he's a world class fighter , and Gamboa has got " one hell of a task " on his hands here :deal

People see a fighter get hit a few times to get their own shots off in the pocket and equate that to having a nonexistent defense.

I still honestly think that he should have fought one more at SFW first.

But yeah, if he beats Rios he's def gonna be huge.

I'm not sure the likes of Gamboa can ever achieve the public noteriety that Pacquiao or Floyd have to be honest. Such things seem to be dictated by weight classes as much as anything else. It has to be said, the general public rarely takes note of anyone below welterweight. At least not to that level. It takes someone very special at his weight to get that attention.

Gamboa gets all the credit in the world if he wins. Rios can make the weight better than previously because he hired a nutrients diet specialist. I don't want credit taken away from gamboa after he whoops rios with people saying rios was affected by the weight. Gamboa is the one coming up two divisions in weight how do you think he's gone a feel.

Yes...imagine if he moved back down in weight to 130 and took a title there..He would be a 4 weight divison champ already. I doubt he ever fights above LW though-with his size that is the max limit. I think he'll grow into 130 over the years but it will be a long time.

Hold up-It isn't Gamboas fault if Rios struggles with weight-That is on Rios.

Thats like me saying, "well the victory means very little for Rios if Gamboa doesn't get up above 130."

To thread topic-REGARDLESS of how Rios struggles or does not struggle..Gamboa knocks him out or puts on a 12-0 11-1 or even 10-2 type clinic, he will have made a huge name for himself.

Hellz yeah he will... and since the place will be packed up of Mexicans I'm sure he may win some fans if he comes in agressive and gives a good fight, none of that backing up **** like acosta.. but if he comes to fight toe to toe, take out gamboa NEW P4P star for sure.

I just hope ticket prices are great like Montiel Donaire were SO I CAN GO to Vegas baby... Just a few hours from here.

the he can move down fight Broner, **** even Doanaire, Mikey Garcia-Salido/Juanma winner. sky is the limit. Its in gamboas and rios hands now.
