Can't hate the guy for winning.. Nick Diaz is a tank, but he blew the rematch that was in place.

Honestly it was a pretty even scrap. Condit countered well at times but ran away.. Diaz pressed at times but got countered cleanly..

I think if they rematched Condit would have Diaz' number. Problem is he DID run. If you want to talk about footwork and compare what Condit did to some sort of boxing footwork for the sake of countering, then fess up about the reality of Condit's footwork. He wasn't always moving laterally to set Diaz up with counters, he was moving at times to completely avoid anything to do with Diaz which I think is fair to equate to running away..

Fan of both guys. When Diaz landed Condit reacted in such a way that made me believe his striking was quite effective. When Condit landed with his hands, he did a good job at making Diaz stop in his tracks and check for cuts. Both guys had their moments, they match up well with one another.

I think for Condit to really win this FIGHT, he needs to put more on the leg kicks to make them actually mean something and take a toll on Diaz' ability to close. When he moves, he needs to move with the intention of countering Diaz' assault.

For Diaz he cant take any time or rounds off of the fight. He needs to keep steady pressure on Condit and make him pay for turning and running. Diaz can do this by going for a takedown/ simply going for a tackle. If an opponent turns and you can see a rear shoulder and his toes are pointed away from you, thats an easy takedown/ tackle. Diaz could score takedowns with that sort of movement..

 

It wasn't a Nick Diaz type fight, he was outclassed.

Your beef should be with Diaz for not fighting his fight.

 

well said, Diaz had to realize how the fight was going and changed things up instead of just doing status quo for 5 rounds waiting for Condit to stand there like a punching bag.
