Looking at Delboy's face gotta laugh, looks like Vitali at weigh in. Taste of own medicine springs to mind. You don't talk about slapping guys, and step to them and if your street wise then you clock the bottle as you walk slowly to guy and give yourself some room. What's he think Haye was gonna do say 'beg your pardon delboy, let me just put my bottle on side then we can get to some fisticuffs'.
Just what I was thinking, mate. It's possible that glass wasn't even involved. Chisora could have been mistakened with the content of the bottle (plastic may be?) spraying everywhere.
There seems to be a noise of glass smashing though as the punch is thrown. Whether he drops the bottle or whatever, there definitely seems to be glass in the vicinity.
Haye chose to behave like a thug at the press conference, hollering about the fighters and constantly provoking the people there (even when one of them is clearly calling for security), then actually punches Chisora with a bottle? What the hell? Chisora is also to blame for aggressively going up to him like that (and for his behaviour over the past two days with Wlad and Vitali) but from what I can see in the video, he doesn't actually start the violence. Haye's idiotic action triggered a brawl which got his own trainer cut on the forehead, and he's lucky nothing worse happened.
That picture could be just as it connects meaning the bottle is gonna smash. I'm a huge Haye fan but it's a massive coincidence the punch lands and bottle smashes at the same time. Massive coincidence.
:deal I agree with that. Like I say, I'm a Haye fan, but cmon, it's not even his post fight presser. To me, it seemed like a stunt to call Vitali out that ended up going horribly wrong. If I was Chisora I'd be pretty pissed Haye was even there, let alone shouting and hollering.
Also, if you check the youtube page for the brawl, some commenters are stating that Haye may have been the one who accidentally gave Booth that gash, when he was waving that camera tripod around. This is also something some of the news articles have implied. I have no idea if it's true or not, as the video is too unclear. The YT commenter says it happens at 2:53 in the footage.
Chisora is happy. I bet he can almost guarantee himself a fight with haye mow. They could do a gentlemans agreement and say, chisora wont press charges as long haye mans up and fights him in the ring 50-50 split. Cant say fairer
