Imagine a prime Joe Frazier against Vitali

regarding OP question...nope i don't think that Frazier would beat even this version of Vitali.

Slow and uncoordinated as he looked, it's still very hard to land flush on him, that and when you throw his size and great chin in the mix you get a fighter that's very hard to KO.

frazier wasn't a big guy at all, nor in height or weight, he had a 72 inch reach, wasn't physically strong nor a particulary very fast guy and he would have a very very hard time getting anywhere near Vitali's head without getting countered and battered.

He may outpoint Vitali and win a decision against yesterday's Vitali but i don't see him at all Ko'ing any version of Vitali.

Vitali's massive and he'll just lean his bodyweight on the fragile Frazier in every clinch and tire him.

 

I'm afraid that you are digging a hole here man. George Foreman was an Olympic champ with very good fundamentals, great jab, monster power and he was very very mean. I'm not sure if Frazier can beat Vitali but Foreman will probably KO him

Foreman was a big strong man who started boxing at the age of almost 20. Foreman now days would be a small heavyweight. He was no master technician he was just the biggest and the strongest durning his time, thats all.

he was strong against against guys like Quarry, guys his own size or sub 200lbs, but he got shoved around hopelessly versus Foreman.

No matter what you say, today's HW are clearly much stronger then your average early 70's HW.

 

Foreman is a ****ing ATG he is not some bum. He happens to be horrible match up for any swarmer. Frazier was strong enough against Ali. Was Ali also fragile?

 

His technique and power will be very good in this era!

I think Frazier probably beats Vitali and absolutely beats Wladimir. But to use this fight to judge is kind of dumb.

Lots of people talk about the Klitschkos and todays heavyweights like they are bums. Do you think its any better to talk about todays heavyweights like they are bums compared to heavyweights 50 years ago?

Enjoy the sport while it happens stop living in the past. People should stop thinking so much about how sports used to be so much better back when there dad watched sports and start enjoying the present imo.

 

Frazier was 205 when he won the belt. That's all you need. Left Hook+ Heart=Dead Klitschko

 

I try to get the best out of the past and the present of the sport. I don't think that you can understand the present if you don't know the history. That goes not only for boxing
