Looked to me like he was the guy throwing not only the first but more or less all the punches in there.

Im a barrister and the law says you are allowed to defend yourself if you believe and attack is imminent. Looking at chisora as a character he is unstable and unpredictable - he slapped vitali and spat water at wlad - if i was haye i would have done the same thing.

If you are really a barrister, you probably also know that you are only allowed to use appropriate force - and I would venture that hitting a guy who hasn't even raised his fist crosses that line. Not to mention attacking his trainer with a tripod while he is held back and comically hitting your own trainer instead.

Personally, I think Haye is just mad that Chisora totally showed up his performance against Wladimir. His cred as the "best british hw" and "biggest threat to the K-bros" took a big hit last night.

I assume Haye doesn't have the same level of self control as Vitali then. Lol

Hang on here - im talking about the chisora incident - what happened with the tripod and the assault on the trainer is a different matter. And yes appropriate force is a requirement but chisora had a microphone in his hand and only dropped it once Haye went to punch him. Like i said - haye has a very good defence because it was chisora who walked up to him first and squared upto him and like I said - chisora has a reputation for being violent and unstable. THe court will look at all this and ask was it reasonable for Haye to have anticipated an imminent assault with a microphone? If it was a reasonable assumption then Haye has a defence on the grounds of self defence. And yes I am a barrister - i got called at lincolns inn 2 years ago :yep

You're clueless mate. Chisora was walking towards him in a menacing way, took off his jacket etc. What Haye did was a pre-emptive strike, perfectly within the law. When someone approaches you in this sort of way, making you anticipate an imminent assault, you are allowed to defend yourself so long as there is a clear danger present. In the brawl, Chisora and the guy in the red jacket were baring down on him; and through this, Haye is allowed to use a level of force to keep them off him
