i thought from the moment the bell rang from the 1st to the last dereck fought a good fight. he tested vitali more then we have seen for a few years, mainly because he refused to be intimidated by the klitschko machine. yes it would have been nice to see more inside fighting allowed by the ref, but when you're in thier domain thats what will happen. regardless of antics he boxed well. you don't have to like or condone him to see that much if you love the sport. as for haye, bernard boente and security ,,he's just gone twelve rounds with a formiddable champ!-leave out the winding up, you know he will react -idiots!
John Anthony, you have just won the award for the g^yest avatar, screen name and post combo on any boxing site ever.
He put in a very good show, the best of any of Vitali`s challengers for a long time.It was possibly VItali`s hardest night since Lewis. What went on before and after the fight was not great.Chisora and Wlad were always going to clash.Wlad messed Chisora about big time by pulling out of 2 fights and Chisora is clearly still pissed off about it.
My god - what? A good performance? He lost nearly every round, got smacked about and acted like a complete tool. If you take a moral victory from not getting knocked out, fine - but this showed Del is clearly levels below.
Delboy had Vitali grabbing like a hoe eveytime Chisora went to work on the inside....understand boxing u f^G.
What would you rather see, a fighter coming along for the ride just happy to be there, Giving boring interviews saying how much the respect The Klits, How happy they are to be given the chance, and then go out there and do **** all and try and hang on and survive. Or some one who entertains, who makes the build up, is controversial and actually has a go. Chisora has given HW boxing a massive boost
Let's talk about in boxing terms: Out-landed, out-manoeuvred, mouth full of blood, lost nearly every round... Vitali has always held on the inside - Chisora had no more success that Briggs did before him, he just survived until the end.
think that's a little harsh about no more success then briggs,, if you look at the expectancy pre-fight i feel chisora did surpass most expectations.. of course he lost by a wide margin but he did win a few rounds unlike previous oponents..
He did what fighters should do, went in there and fought like a man. It's clear that he hasn't got the skill to beat the Klitschkos, but he sure as hell tried which can't be said for most of their previous opponents. Wlad would take him easily, he's a much better boxer than Vitali.
You were never gonna give him any credit though, lets be honest. He did better than anybody expected. 'Cept you.
