Setup a poll!!! Chisora is durable and has a good chin - neither Fury, Helenius nor Vitali; all of which have good to exceptional KO ratios have put him down. His stamina and workrate are also good. He arguably put in a better performance against a Klitschko. Finally he has just gone 1-1 (not officially) with two top fight HW's. I always thought Haye would KO Chisora but I'm not so sure now. Inactivity also counts against Haye (although he looked pretty sharp last night!)
Haye easy inside 5 or 6 rounds, Derrick has never faced anyone close to Haye's speed, movement and power, Vitali looked aged last night and still toyed with Derrick most of the fight. Del Boy is decent and thats it.
Good post, I agree with all except the final line. I think this 'beef' will bring the fighter out in Haye and he will look to punish Dereck. I honestly feel we will see the return of the Cruiserweight Haye in this fight. Bring it on!
I'm still yet to see Haye turn in an expectional performance at Heavyweight. If anything, he is only 'decent' as well
Haye, perhaps by stoppage - though Del did impress me last night. He also holds the best win of the two over Helenius..... I'd really want Chisora to batter him though.
I completely understand that. But Haye is yet to convince me at Heavyweight if I'm honest. But I am seriously pumped for this fight now.
Same here! Really hope its on in the summer, not sooner (unlikely) and not later (likely after a probable ban for both).
Del Boy actually beat a prime top rated heavyweight (Helenius).Haye has never done this.Im pretty confident that Del Boy would beat Monte,Ruiz,Audley and Valuev and I doubt anyone would be calling them great wins then. I would probably favour Haye but no way is it an easy fight.I think it would be very competitive and its going 12 rounds.
I think Haye is all wrong for Chisora. Haye struggled with the tall heavyweights as he wasn't commited to fighting anywhere near the inside and thus ended up a boring potshotter (is that a word?). Chisora is of similar height and I think Haye will be more comfortable with him than having to work his way inside around a long jab. he is way faster and will be able to land fast flush shots on Chisora who is no defensive master and has good power so i wouldn't write a KO off even though Chis has showed a decent chin and Haye's movement should cause Chis problems as well. I'd probably bet on him winning a UD but Chis could do serious damage if he landed one of those wild swinging head decapitators he throws. Haye UD but with a possible KO for either man. Chisora decision propbably the least likely scenario.
I'd expect this to be a great fight but for me Haye would win it all day long. He provides something which most other heavyweights don't, even Vitali last night, and that's effective circling and different angles. I'd see Haye landing a lot from counterpunching on the outside and being able to punish Del Boy with a consistent attack over the rounds. As we saw last night it takes an awful lot to dissuade Chisora but I could see Haye doing/landing enough to take a clearish decision. Though I could imagine Chisora being able to get success on the inside as well from the middle rounds on, as he did last night and picking up some rrounds that way.
Thing is, from the buildup to the actual fight and to the post press conference if last night is anything to go by there is no way its going to be anything other than utter war! No early KO and no 'non-fight'. Other questions: Would Chisora chase a 50/50 deal? Would Sky Box Office come back for this?
chisora wins late on if he trains hard, sustained pressure, haye wont be able to keep him off, haye too muscle bound at heavy and also inactivity is a huge factor if this is his first fight back, mormeck found haye quite an easy target, he's a very poor version of dereck and that was a peak haye
