Personally I don't really care if there is none but if some people needs this to get into boxing then perhaps there should be more trash talk.

No, all of you agreeing with this **** is an idiot.

Yeah, those guys only TALKED. Smacking people and starting fights at press conferences is ****ing stupid and embarrassing to the sport. You think it's cool that trainers and media people are getting hurt during press conferences? I suppose it's also cool when fighters injure each other leading up to the fight, too.

    ****ing idiots.

Good idea Kojiro, let's continue risking peoples' health so boxing can make headlines.

If you want to watch something that's about the street go watch UFC or some ****.

WTF man where have I said I like this kind of stuff?

Still, what you said (that they only talked) was bull**** and boxing has, in fact, always been like that.

no it shouldn't, you mentioned that it shouldn't be clean like football in your post. Well, football is a mainstream sport, boxing right now isn't. Why do you think this is the case? Thugs like Chisora make some headlines in the boulevard press short term, but in the long run the mainstream will just not accept this kind of behaviour/ straight up thuggery.

If boxing should reestablish itself in the mainstream, it must get rid of (obvious) corruption and thugs like Chisora. For proof just look up the comments sections from various news outlets throughout the world. The mainstream just doesn't like thugs.

You seriously believe "Boxing has always been about the street"? Boxing is a professional and competitive SPORT. Root word for sportsmanship. You're making a mockery of it.

***s and dummies loved the effeminate tongue-wagging and all sorts of "fighting" (mostly contrived and scripted by promoters) outside the ring respectively.

On the other hand, real fightfans prefer the silent-killer types and couldn't care less about any out-of-the-ring imbecilic theatrics and talkative ***gotry: they'd rather love warriors go at it inside the ring with their fists.

As for gaining publicity and interest from casuals with unimaginative gimmickries? No conclusive study to support that claim. So there.

Spitting in someones face is as unmanly as it gets.

Its sending out the wrong message. That to get to the top of the sport you hit people when then not expecting it, and you spit in people face. And we reward these boxers by elevating them to the top of the sport.

Remaining cool not retaliating, and then stepping into the ring and putting on a beating makes Vitali much more of a man than chisora.

Don't forget the sport is about two people hitting each other. Don't try to make it out like it's something it's not.

I think a race riot might not be what the original poster was talking about.

Hey in the words of ODLH when asked what he would do if confronted in a street fight: "I dont fight for free"

Yeah but you don't smack somebody at a weigh in and you don't spit in somebody's face before a fight. I can't believe some of you all are actually attracted to this and think that it's good for the sport.
