He could have easily shoved Chisora away, or even remotely engaged in some way without the fight being interrupted. He stood there like a bullied schoolkid with his arms locked by his side.

I can't blame Vitali for not reacting to the slap as Chisora was pulled back right away and Vitali was obviously shocked at a slap to the face. However Wlad just stood there staring at a man who just spat in his face, ridiculous

I don't honestly think Chisora went to start a brawl with Haye. Chisora and his promoter (FW) seemed more interested in getting a fight on with Haye with the winner fighting Vitali. I suspect most of Chisora's antics are feed to him from elsewhere to get more attention and he planned only to square up to Haye and get an agreement to fight in front of the cameras. Even after the brawl Chisora was still trying to secure a Haye fight with Booth, then Booth made an attempt to win over Vitali and get a fight on.

 

He saved his reaction for after the fight, like a grown-up who didn't wanna risk spoiling things for his brother and all those paying customers. Wladimir showed against Haye that he isn't afraid of the little bullies.

 

This was during the ring introductions right before the first bell was to ring for Vitali vs Chisora......

How do you suggest Wlad had handled being spat on????


Imo Wlad handled it the only way he could have.
To have punched Chisora right there would have started a melee, maybe even a riot, and the fight would have been cancelled.


You have your answer right there on why Chisora spat on Wlad.
The antic is an exellent way to pull out of a fight at the last minute and avoid getting your ass schooled by a 40 year old.
