Dereck Chisora: The British Ray Mercer?

he may not have the ability of mercer but He really proved himself to be very durable the other night. I think he could prove to be another mercer.

why?

ray mercer wasnt an all time great. Ray was a dangerous fighter to the elite guys but he never pulled off a win over any great fighters (though he nearly got nod against lewis).

he got beat by some lesser guys including a faded jesse ferguson and a 40 plus larry holmes though holmes was still good

Chisora hasnt been hurt yet and his style is similar to mercer. Dont forget he is still a novice and a late starter to boxing

They are both male and human but the fact that ray could / can actually fight seperates them

I didn't say it was the best either. Chisora was trying the jab, threw quite a few to the body.

 

Chisora has ability. I dont think he will ever be as good as mercer but he looks like he could be a similar style. i reckon like mercer he will give all the top guys trouble and go the distance

As i say again he is still a novice. he still has time to develop

Chisora doesn't have the power and is at least a level below Mercer was, but they're hardly chalk and cheese
