I know its bad to say but saturday night brawl is good for boxing because it will generate a lot of interest. Its been the talk everywhere. everyone is interested in Haye again and -Chisora could of become an overnight media superstar.

In a perfect world both would be banned for life and jailed but face facts we live in a Very UNperfect World that will allways be f***ed up

I know those antics are disgraceful but boxing needs all the attention it can get in this modern age when its exposure to the mainstream is very limited

This sort of crap attracts attention and puts bums on seats. We live in an age when its normal for people to do a lot worse to make money and get attention

It would have been better if chisora had won, instead it was just pathetic.

It's not as bad as the one boxer who swore live on TV.

I don't know if it's good for boxing from a financial standpoint.

If Haye fights Chisora in a boxing match, yeah, obviously you can say the brawl generated most of the interest.

But other than that, it's really not good. Chisora's stock had risen as a result of his 12 rounds with Klitschko, but he over-did the idiot act so he might not even benefit. Some promoters and fighters will avoid him because he's just too unpredicatable. the guy seems unhinged.
He might make some decent money in a fight with Tyson Fury again or someone in the world's top 5 or 10.

It's probably not a good thing for the quality of British boxers. This sends out a message to young Brits, that losing in the ring doesn't matter .... if you act like a thug outside the ring you get famous.
It's pretty sad, these guys are a bit crap in the ring, didn't really give the champions much trouble, Haye was especially pathetic.
But they get all the attention for brawling like common pub louts and generally acting silly outside of the ring.

The record and history books will show that the British heavyweights since Lennox Lewis were ****ing load of **** compared to the Klitschkos.

Came into work this morning, and everyone was talking about it. They all want a Haye-Chisora fight to be made. These are people who normally don't give two shits about boxing.

So it's got its good and bad bits to it. It has made British boxing look really bad, but at the same time, it's created quite a buzz. A buzz that's not been seen in the heavyweight division for quite some time.

I can't remember the last time in the UK boxing got this amount of media coverage. I think you'd have to go back well over a decade and more.

The thing is, unlike the attention a big fight coming up might get, I suspect the attention for this will fizzle out as quickly as it erupted.

For non boxing fans, Chisora's stock has risen because of what happened before and after the fight. No one watchedt he fight lol because that was only on boxnation or online somewhere.

Most people i spoke to at work this morning didnt even know or care about the result of the fight, they were just talking about the antic before and after

    Publicity at a huge cost.

Boxing on television will survive based upon it's ability to attract advertisers/sponsors. Events over the weekend will do little to reassure corporates that they should attach their company, brand or products to professional boxing.

Overreaction if based on this specific incident but a genuine question IMO. It's not all that easy to justify.

Is Saturday night and the build up prior, worse than when Minter said "No black man is gonna take my title", which of course was followed by the fans bombarding the ring, specifically Hagler, when the Marvelous one ripped his crown away in 3 rounds?

Was it worse than the Lewis-Tyson brawl and Tyson's tirade of abuse at reporters? "I'll **** you til' you love me ******!"

Bentt-Hide? Kaylor-Christie? **** like this happens occasionally, it's unsavoury, but that's about it in my book.
