interview with Lee McAllister

Would love to see Lee win this one!

 

He's a good lad you know- I beat him, but I like him and he IS really good. I hope he does well.

 

Yeh really hope he wins, that Shafikov looks really solid though, a real challenge for Lee. Their a nice family too, the Dad David does a lot for theboxing with the judging and that, and his shows are always good, David is a nutter and a good coach, funny lad. Ive only bumped into Mathew and Lee a couple of tmes but they have been sound enough, esecialy Mathew.

 

Shafikov looks solid, yeah. But nothing more IMO. Lacks something in the footwork department and he's pretty squat, he's exploitable. Not sure whether Lee is good enough to do it, but its an intriguing one.

 

I definitly think the McAllisters see something in Shafikov, he looks a very hard match up though.

 

Matthew will be better than Lee:deal, he's got more bang in his punches.
They are all decent lads.

 

Aye Ive heard a few people say that. Ive never actually seen Mathew box, although we've shared a good few common opponents.

I remeber there was a big buzz on Traynor and he was superb, but ended up doing time, and he didnt look the same after it. I do hope hes recovered his form though, seems a sound enough guy, just a bit off his heid.

 

Was surprised to see Matthew McAllister taking on Micalef.......good scrap that, interesting.

yes very good ,knowing the engine on MiCallef,it will be a good test for young McAllister on the day .

 

I've seen Micallef fight and i know it is a tough test for Matty, but Matty wants decent fights that will test him.
