    WBO ranked welterweight contender Kell Brook (26-0, 18 KO’s) was repulsed by last weekend’s brawl between Dereck Chisora and David Haye at the Vitali Klitschko – Chisora post fight press conference. Brook, 26, saw the the whole affair as being bad for boxing and he wants to make sure that he and his March 17th opponent Matthew Hatton (42-5-2, 16 KO’s) set a good example in their fight at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield, Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

    Brook told The Star “I thought it [Haye-Chisora brawl] was absolutely disgusting and absolutely terrible for the sport. I don’t want the fans or the people to think that all boxers are like that. They disgraced themselves and I would never conduct myself like that. Hopefully Matthew and I can boost boxing when we face each other.”
    It’s doubtful we’ll see any mischief going on after or before the March 17th Hatton-Brook fight. If anything, they’ll both be complimentary of each other to the extreme. Of course, neither of them are world champion either, so there won’t be any possibility of an opponent crashing a post fight press conference to try and make a case for himself that he deserves a fight like Haye did with Vitali. Brook and Hatton aren’t real big on selling fights the way that Haye is, and he was just doing what he normally does in trying to get fights.

    Brook has a lot more going for him than the 30-year-old #9 WBA ranked Hatton in this fight, and it’s going to be asking a lot of Hatton to be able to stay in for the full 12 round getting knocked out or knocked about. He seems to be able to soak up punishment pretty well as we saw in his lopsided 12 round decision loss to Saul Alvarez last year, but he doesn’t have the power or the speed to give Brook any problems. If anything, Hatton will be someone that will give Brook some rounds in losing by a lopsided decision. We also could see a knockout in this fight if Brook really presses the issue. I’m not sure that he will, though, out of respect for Hatton. He might just carry him for 12 rounds, content to win every round of the fight and win by a dominating performance.

    Nah Brook will get him out of there if he can, look to make a statement and as long as Hatton's there he's dangerous, why carry him and allow him to get back into the fight?

    Brook went to Court initially without legal representation. The conviction was quashed on appeal.

    This.

    I can't stand Brook.

    He is another Ingle fighter with a ton of unwarranted hype behind him.

    Matty has gone over to ****ing MEXICO and had it with Canelo.

    Brook has fought Jennings, in ****ing Yorkshire or somewhere.

    He is overrated.

    Give your head a shake, you div.

    Brook has done nothing special/spectacular as a pro to warrant his hype.

    Brook = Can Crusher.
